Wi-Fi is, by definition, wireless. That's literally the whole point of it. If it's not wireless, it's not Wi-Fi.

Assuming it wasn't intentional, perhaps TC meant if our connection to our router is wired or wireless? My computer is still hardwired to my router. I do not think my MOBO came with a WIFI antennae and my router is only three feet from my computer.

My wifi is wireless, by definition. My desktop is wired, because I have that option and it's unambiguously better for something that won't be moving around.

that must be so sad if you're on a wired internet still... If I wanted I could complete the cat5 wiring of my house and have a wired port in all the rooms. Wired has been and will always be faster than wireless. Not sure why you think that's sad. --- PSN - SunWuKung420 ... Copied to Clipboard!

mrduckbear posted...that must be so sad if you're on a wired internet still... Presumably because he's assuming that means you have no wifi available anywhere in your place, which limits your ability to use smart phones, tablets, many game systems, and laptops. Obviously, that's a dumb assumption, but he's already asking if our wifi is wireless or not, so I think it's par for the course. --- This is my signature.
