I think it's important for people to know how in case of emergency though. Which basically involved him sitting there and telling me to drive, then cussing me every time I grinned a gear or stalled the engine. After getting home he'd slap me around for damaging the gears. After that, I refused to learn with him, and I didn't have anyone else to teach me, so yeah.
