It helps that it's a straight-up parody of the Shonen genre and superheroes in general.

The best part about it is that it answers the question most Shonen anime never thinks to ask: what happens if you actually do become undefeatable? That's the goal of most Shonen, after all.

the thing about JAM project is, their lyrics are very very cheesy.
sure if it's your first exposure on the band you will find them awesome, but after listening 20 of their song, they somehow become predictable.

One Punch Man is really good. I wouldn't personally give it a perfect 10/10, but it's at least 8.5 or 9 and I'm definitely waiting for the second season.

I don't listen to music from anime I've never watched, and I've only seen one other anime with a JAM Project opening... but it was a memorable one. I thought Scrapped Princess was also a solid 8.5 or 9 in terms of show quality, and its opening was really catchy too.

They don't want to be associated with basement dwellers that spend hours making cosplays for conventions. They are too good for Anime. Mob Psycho 100, Assassination Classroom, Violet Evergarden, Hinamatsuri, Seven Deadly Sins, and Konosuba are too much for normies to handle.
