Thoughts overall on the changes

1. Naga Sea Witch
-I dont play wild but this is a great change. Because it kills the card. Screw it going back to what it was lol. No one played that version right? Now people can still do this... only 3 turns later as a meme instead of an oppressive deck type.

2. Lackey
-Probably the most reasonable change. I like this over pact I think (even though pact to 2 would have been more disruptive overall). I will say that as someone who does play a lot of aggro this is a significant change and I think without the change to call that Paladins might have actually been even or maybe favored against warlock with this.

3. Dark Pact
-This is something I thought would be done. I said maybe down to 3, but 4 is not far off. While 2 would have killed more combos it also means the card can still be geisted.

4. Call to Arms
-Even Paladin is dead. I don't think Murloc Paladin is like that heavily affected by it because it already has a normally strong play on 4 with Megasaur a lot of times. However, I feel like murloc paladin has been falling out of favor so it'll be interesting if the nerfs to probably its biggest threat (warlock) can help it enough.

5. Spiteful Summoner
-I'm not sure how much impact this actually has in the control matchup, but in the aggro matchup this makes the deck a lot weaker.

6. Quest Rogue
-I wish they would have just completely killed the deck. I don't think this is going to change much. Basically the intent of this nerf is to simply lower the play rate of the deck, but it's still going to be used for an anti-control deck and I don't think the win rate it has against control is going to suffer much. This is a problem in any meta where control (or not aggro) has become a dominant archetype because it means the deck will see play and force certain decks out of the meta completely.

How do you kill anyone though? Lol.

I tried it out, was laughing when I got up over 120 health, but didn't hold up for very long. Once your board dies you just never get anything back with no draw and a maximum 1-attack minion per turn. I got destroyed by a guy running Witch's Apprentice + DK Thrall.

Also I think Warlock will still be T1 thanks to Skull and Cube but time will tell I guess, theres still a crazy amount of strong cards in Standard, some of which have yet to truly be utilized

This is true, and that's what happened to me in my first game against a hunter. He just rebuilt afterwards. But I also didn't go 7-wide against him in that game because I was fighting off his minions. The mage, however, had fireball and I didn't see the other card. Limited damage potential. I'd have won in fatigue, and it would have taken forever. The mage knew that and quit.

When you use the search function in the collection manager, how does it work here for everyone else? I used to just click on it, type whatever in and it searched, but now when I click on it it opens up a second search above the card display and the one below it disappears. On top of that, it doesn't seem to reset to default all of the time when I hit the red x but continues to show the narrowed results, and if I make a second search it just continues to show the results from the first search.

This Tavern Brawl has been the only time I've tolerated the "Win X Tavern Brawls" quest.

You essentially know on turn 1 if you're going to win or not so it's easy to concede and queue up a new game. I got the 3 wins in about 10 minutes.

what are some of the longest brawls you all have had for this one that were actually close? I had a game of Armorsmith + Warpath vs. Secretkeeper + Hydrologist that got really close to fatigue. Granted, my opponent should have conceded much sooner than he did.

Drafted a rogue, it had no vilespines, backstabs, evis, SI:7s etc. It had one copy of Envenom Weapon, Tar Creeper, and a Stonehill.

It went 7 wins. All 3 of my losses were to Paladins.

Also got Sindrogosa from a pack. Which is neat because I wanted it anyway for my Control Mage. Which I am still playing despite it losing a lot.

I actually think I might stop opening pack soon and just horde gold. Despite it being the newest set I don't think it's worth it to open Witchwood packs for me anymore since I already have Crowly, Genn, Baku, Toki, and the Glass Knight.

Theres also a resurgence of players. News=stimulation, so people start playing again when they hated the meta. Its easier to stomach constructed knowing it will be different soon.

Lmfao I looked at my deck and was like wow there are a lot of dragons in mage and made a dragon mage. Its so bad, but not bad enough to lose to a quest priest

Seriously mage needs some sort of deck buffer or killer The other three control classes (warlock, warrior, priest) all have one.

Just had a brawl go to double fatigue.

Fire Plume Harbinger + Earthen Might
vs.
Witch's Apprentice + Volcano

Man, what a crazy match that was. It ended rather poetically, with my last volcano doing exactly enough to take out his very last card, which was a 10 mana Pyros. I had no means of damage left, but the one healing rain I drew from apprentice ensured I survived longer.

The two unstable evolutions I drew totally whiffed. One pulled a faerie dragon which killed it. Another ended up landing on grand archivist when I had board, and he cast volcano obviously which cleared my board. lol. Although I did get in a leeroy jenkins hit to face on the second one.

Just ended a Wild game as Hunter with two Kel'Thuzads on the board when I had none whatsoever in my deck and no way to generate any.

Went up against an Even Shaman who Coin->Dirty Rat'd on Turn 1 and pulled out my Sylvanas. I played Mad Scientist and passed, hoping to force him to play stuff to deal with it, since I knew he wouldn't be able to Hex until Turn 4 now, but I forgot Devolve was a card. It turned my Mad Scientist into a Crystalline Oracle, which then gave me HIS Kel'Thuzad. I was able to play it on Turn 8 and get back 3 minions. He didn't have Hex, so I was then able to use Faceless Manipulator on my own Kel'Thuzad.

Speaking of "how dumb can people be", you're quoting someone (Donny) known for using alts to flood the moderation system and troll people, just FYI. He's known as such on the Hearthstone boards, too. The guy botched trying to vandalize the Board 8 wiki and didn't bother to check who the admins were there.

And Caverns Below doesn't count, since it was already nerfed once and Blizzard gets to avoid massive dust refunds.
