Excess protein does convert to glucose.

I didnt eat keto Saturday but didn't suffer any ill effects. Not yet back to my lowest weight since starting. I had a set back and ate like crap for 2 weeks. But I'm on my way there. I expect by Monday.

243 weigh in today, but trust me when I say that is going to go up in a day or so. Completely obliterated my calorie count yesterday. Probably ended up close to, if not, positive calories yesterday in comparison to the 1000 calorie deficit goal.

I got up to 190 and I wasnt ok with that. Currently 169 and I got to 167(wedding weight) but then I had a set back and ate way too much and got back on carbs as well. Pretty sure I could maintain if I would stick to the calories but I really struggle with cravings when I'm eating carbs. I'm not really sure I have a goal weight per se. If I can maintain around 170 I'm pretty ok with that. But if I would start working out and trying to really be "fit" I think the goal is 150-155.

The day after I drank I weighed 243. It sapped all my hydration. That is why I said I knew I would go back up.

Alcohol is a lot of carbs. How are you achieving keto if drinking? Lowest carb beer is Michelob ultra and that is still like 2.5 carbs or something.

I don't always drink beer but if I do it's 1. I count those carbs. I try to stay under 50 net carbs. 30 is better. I have done It while including a beer here and there. But liquor doesnt have carbs so I do mixed drinks with no carb mixers.

The free donuts at my one job really effed me over starting Saturday. I had 1 and could not stop eating them. Today, I won't be there so I'm trying to detox from the sugar. Went to the store salad bar on my teaching break and filled a box with meat and cheese. Gotta stay full so I don't want sugar. Gonna get a burrito bowl later when I get off work.

Full isn't really what I meant I think satiated is the right word. I need to eat something else as satisfying as a donut. So meat and cheese is a pretty good sub cuz it's really tasty. I can make keto donuts (and have) but baking totally wrecks my kitchen and I haven't really had time the last two weeks.

Corrik, I'm actually really proud of you for losing 30.

Now, the goal is to lose fat and not just weight - that's what will make you look better. Remember, the weight may be all calorie counting, but the look is more than that.

See my scale has me at 246.4 right now. Which is just under 35 lbs down and it also isn't a morning proper weigh (which generally would be lower). I don't trust my scale at all now.
