I have online friends that I talk to regularly but in terms of real life friends to talk to and hang out with I haven't had any since I was 15. I've had girlfriends since then, one that I lived with for 5 years and we have a child together. But no friends.

Not sure if I mind or not. Sometimes I feel incredibly lonely and isolated but really I'd feel more comfortable in a romantic relationship than being friends with a guy and going for beers or whatever.

Just thought of this topic because I was looking at boardgames yesterday and thinking some of them sounded fun but I'd have no one to try them out with.

Me. People annoy me and I want as little to do with them personally as possible. Unfortunately I've consistently had coworkers over the years read my indifference towards everything as maturity for some reason and have had many come to me for advice on shit. Sometimes very personal shit. Which is very annoying.

I don't know how to say it another way. But if it doesn't concern me or is one of my likes in life, then I really don't care and wish people would just stay away. Leave me to my self involved little universe. It's better for everyone that way.

I have no friends. I used to have some, but after I quit drinking and went back to school they sort of faded away or we broke of contact due to some sort of conflict. Then in university, I never really got close to anyone. Then I moved halfway across the country and now I have no friends.

I'm pretty much to depressed to do anything about it. I've never had a ton of friends, but it'd be nice to have a couple of close friends.

The depression fades after focusing on your own self i know how i sounds, but it is very true let your preconceptions of what life should be go. And let it be what it is.

Trust me, friend, that's not my issue. I have pretty severe clinical depression and it has nothing to do with a skewed persepective of what life should be or a lack of my own self interest.

I have a few, but working graveyard and being 30 years old really limits possibilities

I got just three that I would really consider true friends. All are male. However, there is one other one I just met recently that is quickly making her way into my best friend category.

But yeah, I've never really had too many friends growing up after the 6th grade. I've somewhat gotten used to it, but the depression can bother me about it.

Clincal by a physician. Also, anti-depressants work. Not only according to most studies (including a recent big one), but also by me. I'm not great with them, but I'm even worse without them.

I have no friends

I have a girlfriend, I'm fine around her friends (in fact they all like me), I have work friends, but I have no friends, no bros, nobody to hang out with or get a beer with.

I miss high school where I'd play Melee at my friend's house every day of Summer

I miss college where I went out with 15 of my closest friends every Friday and Saturday night.

Now I am an adult with nothing. I work 45 hours a week so I can waste my money on stupid shit. What a joke.

I just dont beleive clinical depression cant be solved by yourself i did it and i enjoy every day. Camping season coming get out of the city for a few days.

It's a legitimate medical condition and your 'just will yourself healthy' opinion is the reason a lot of people who need help don't get it. All research and evidence disagree with you. If I could will myself better, don't you think I would? It's like telling someone to 'just get over their broken arm' and it will go away.

in terms of people I hang out with outside of work to have fun times with, I have like 3 friends

but I never had many more than that, so whatever. I kicked it with more people in college but we weren't 'friends'

I never said any of that. All I'm responding to is your statement that doctors are all quacks and that anti-depressants are the doctors conspiring to get you to kill yourself for their profit, which was ridiculous and completely off base.

use to have a lot of friends during elementary school but I stopped socializing with most people around middle school and high school. Aside from co-workers and online stuff, I have no friends irl. nobody in my neighborhood is in my age range anyways.
