1. Why would anyone blame "Asian American privilege" after they were treated poorly in the 40s and 50s? He pointed this out himself. To then say that they're the richest racial group per capita (I gotta believe this is false. He might be looking at median and not mean though.) would imply that Asian Americans recovered despite that treatment. So they worked hard or studied hard and all that stuff. The point about white privilege is that whites came here and had the power and then dragged other people here and made them do work so black people weren't able to build wealth over generations, etc. They never were treated poorly en masse. That's what privilege is.

It's the way it is, PROBABLY, at most places. In Japan, you're probably at an advantage if you're the majority race, Japanese. In middle-eastern countries you may actually be at a disadvantage if you're white. China might be similar, I don't know.

It's just that for whatever reason it makes more of a big stink here in the US. Something about our culture makes us cry louder and more frequently.

plus, women are the sex majority. I think people mostly just like the "majority rules" thing when they benefit from being the majority. you can tell a lot about folk by where the draw the line.

edit: America was founded on a lot of things... a victim complex was one of them. the founding fathers very much felt oppressed, lol. when that's the seed that was planted from the get-go, the fruit that grows is gonna be corrupted.
