The topic is a part joke. The whole outrage has began since like the game was announced and it just exploded when the game release (and its not like these fools affect anything, the game is selling really well and the team still working hard on fixes. I myself is hapoy with the game, albeit it has performance problem and bugs)

One of the arguments really makes little sense - "we don't have evidence there were no black people in Bohemia at the time". That's sort of like saying there's no evidence that Cleopatra wasn't black. We make assumptions about history both on the presence of and absence of evidence. There probably weren't many Africans in Bohemia because they are rarely mentioned in texts or art from the era. It's more of a stretch to assume they had a significant presence than to say they were in the extreme minority. Neither is certain. But simply adding them into the game to satisfy a 21st century desire of inclusiveness would not exactly fit the supposed narrative of the game.

that's just crazy to me. And the entry about "women in the middle ages" seems really innocuous. To be fair, there may have been one or two black people in Bohemia in the middle ages. There were African kingdoms, they did trade across the Mediterranean, it's possible there may have been a merchant or two there. Beyond that? Probably not.

Bioware also had the advantage of having created their own worlds (at least in Dragon Age) with it's own gender dynamic. These guys went with actual history and yeah, it's sucked for women in the middle age. To pretend anything other than that would be completely dishonest and actually disrespectful for what have been able to accomplish since then.

The kickstarter campaign stretch goal promised a female character but was cut out from the game because budget, but gonna be made as DLC and free for backers.

I've heard it's okay, I've never been a fan of beat 'em ups but one of my friends played through it and he seemed to enjoy it enough.

Not all over the place, but there were still some. Come now.

Name a black person in 15th century Bohemia. If they were some black people in that era, it should be easy to name one.

You also can't definitively prove there were no Japanese people in Bohemia if you want to make that argument too. It's dumb to just say "well you can't prove there weren't any" since you can't prove a hell of a lot of things either.

Especially as this is a small area in Bohemia, the smallest minorities in populations aren't going to be represented to be accurate.

For example there is a long history of a Jewish minority in Bohemia but seeing 40% of the game being Jewish is going to throw you out of the game, because it's inaccurate and unrealistic.

You seem to be mixing up the arguments presented in the response. One argument was that poc (not just black people) were depicted in art.
Another was that demographics that would have contained a lot of poc (Mongols, Turks, Greek, etc) lived there at the time. So two different pieces of evidence support the same conclusion.
And finally - they actually provide sources and which pages to look at and you dismiss them because they're too long? Lmao

I think @ASithLord7 identified some decent reddit posts on a lot of the no-POC outrage being very American-focused and likely ignorant of the make-up of the area at the time.

*That being said*, the main dev dude in particular seems like an extremely suspect fellow and things like his outright denials of POC (which fwiw isn't just 'black people' which is where some confusion also arises) existing in medieval Europe make for some very bad and very questionable optics.
