My favorite UCA memory is when there was a battle royal for the vacant Lightweight Title, and SensiShadeSlaye had apparently won and had been declared the winner.

Turned out due to some counting error, FAHtastic had never been eliminated and he then since the match never really ended, he eventually legitimately won

I solved this in kayfabe by having him dismantle the top rope, take it backstage to where Sensi was doing post-title-win interviews, lay the rope on the ground, and push Sensi over it. Over the top rope, both feet touched the floor. Then FAH ran off with the title.

Still waiting for some indie fed to steal that one.

XIII. You are basically the King of UCA and not just for all your success. For the amount of time and effort you put into this. its honestly crazy to me so you deserve all that success. I've talked with you about UCA a bunch over the years so you know I respect the hell out of you for what you've done with UCA. It would have died a long time ago without you. Something I learned about UCA is not to expect anything from anyone - and I don't mean that in a negative way, even though it sounds really bad

What I mean is...every word you type here is voluntary, and if you're not feeling it, there is absolutely no motivation for you to do anything. It all has to come from the user, and this is a tiny part of people's overall lives. If there comes a point where you can't or won't, that's...fine. I mean, annoying for me, sure, but fine. Because it's a small board project and people here have kids, real lives, jobs. Hell, once I moved to Qatar and became really busy, I was unable to put in anywhere near the same level of dedication.

So you never need to apologize to me for not producing. Especially someone like you, who did so much over such a long period of time. You pitch stuff to people, and if they aren't into it, then you move on to somebody or something else. The users here never had any obligation to me, or to UCA. I guess you could say the admin staff have a kind of moral obligation to keep it running, but the regular users come and go as they please and that's how it should be.

I'm actually sorry I pushed that "Luchador unmasking as Maniac and wanting XIII to stop referencing the RL5 thing" storyline back to Summer Spectacular. It was a Mania-worthy feud and I loved the idea.

Alright let me go through some shit.

HIGH POINTS

-The WotR record and the way we lost it were great. I brought in my UotY 2012 disqualification to give the feud a bit more of "real-life edge!!!" regarding Chris, like the UCA equivalent of a worked shoot, and Jeff had been set on fire by Nick when Nick debuted, so it all fit perfectly.

-Bound For Whiskey series. The whole thing was @Whiskey_Nick's idea, but he didn't give it true shape and form. So his idea, but the actual grunt work behind organising and executing it were me. Probably my best addition to the yearly calendar. Though I do also like the way we re-worked Pandemonium/MOUNTAIN OF MAYHEM into our Option C with the MELEE title.

-The RL5 thing, but I mentioned that already. I just kept coming up with great heel idea after great heel idea, like naming the PPV after myself with a topic title that I think was ~XIII~ B8UCA Presents: XIII_rocks! Ft. XIII ~XIII~, and then there was the Stifled title match on my private board and all that.

-As mentioned, the feud with Solio. But I also liked the feud with Raven - we faced off in some capacity in 5 PPVs running (two of them were triple-threats with Shad) and we kept it pretty fresh and exciting. And it ended up in a respectful draw, which is rare and I actually for once didn't feel any need to extend it further to find a winner. It worked.

So I'm not known for the massively whimsical stuff in UCA. I don't do the Luchador stuff, I didn't create TA-GAR, LORD OF THE VOLCANO, RL5's feud with a Bear, or anything like that. This was my first foray into that kind of whimsical thing and I really enjoyed it. For those who don't know, the idea was that I moved to Qatar and when the sand settled onto my skin, it changed me from XIII to Sheik_XIII, in which I basically started posting like a cut-price version of the Iron Sheik's twitter account. It was uh probably slightly problematic >_> but I had great fun with it as I had this incredible hulk thing going on as the different halves of my personality began to yell at each other, culminating in me challenging myself to a PPV match.

I won really narrowly, decided it WASN'T ENOUGH and then decided I wanted a rematch on Day 2 of the PPV, this time inside a steel cage. One of Football's best innovations is the "win by escape" rule in cage matches, where if you ask the door to be opened and then get the next 3 votes in a row, you win (but they don't count if one of the next 3 votes isn't for you). So I asked for the door to be opened, got three votes in a row, and...tied. Because I was also Sheik_XIII and I was wrestling myself. So I tied via escape. It was just a lot of fun to mess around with, and it ended before it got stale. In fact, I could have done more with it. But better to end it before it goes on too long I think.

-Various different feuds. eddv and I were at each other's throats for absolutely ages but avoided actual one-on-one matches until our actual Epopmania VI duel and that made that special. Feuding with @Whiskey_Nick at Mania V with him coming back with a mission from god to stop my "#God" gimmick, and then a double-turn afterwards, that was terrific fun. My 2012 feud with eaed when I started that gimmick was decent, because it was the first time I actually tried to put somebody over. It was OK. A big step for eaedwards at the time since he was still a LW at that point, but it elevated him a bit even though I won most of the actual matches.

HIGH POINTS CONT'D

-I'm proud of the fact that I've been on every single PPV since I started in 2011. "XIII_rocks" may not have been when I took a sabbatical in mid-2014. but that was when I was pretending to be RL5. That's a streak of like 110 PPVs, I think.

-Spammy awards, they were a good addition for a while. One of those things that got cut when life caught up to me/us.

-Epopmania V and VII. Those are my favourite two Epopmanias. V had Football vs. Tom retirement, the start of one of the UCA's greatest ever feuds - Cobain vs. RL5, Whiskey on the Rocks EXPLODING, eddv vs. eaed (which set up Epopmania VI), and Boko/Maniac aka Boko United EXPLODE. That is one hell of a card. It holds up even now as being something historic and great, with only Cobain/RL5 - both having left - as something of a relic. Epopmania VII had less historic a card, but it was still packed with great stuff, hot feuds, and three of the top matches were decided by 1 vote. DP/Stevie was great, I liked the feud with Jakyl, eaed/Solio, Sultan/gravy (this was when gravy had just debuted, and it was the first time Sultan was actually presented as a veteran and someone to be feared more than a new guy or the least fearsome of the Edwards clan. He lost to gravy but for Sultan's UCA career it was an important overall step), Empire of Silence vs. Moment of Zen was terrific, Nick and Kora had a DEATHMATCH TO THE DEATH, and it was just generally an amazing event. Oh, and it culminated the fucking hilarious 10-month @GTM vs. @Pokalicious "feud" of them just saying #downwithPoka/#downwithGTM. Poka wasn't a big promo guy, so the idea I gave him to say "#downwithGTM...At Epopmania 7" and that be all he said was a good one, and they both liked it. (

I think what I liked about it was the importance of the title matches. The MELEE, IM and Tag titles all had really hot feuds going in, it wasn't just the non-title stuff at the top like me/Jakyl and XIII/Nick. It made it feel more well-rounded, while Epopmania V, while great, was more top-heavy. But V has a special place in my heart because it was the first one I planned.

-Another high point was the addition of hype videos, titantrons and posters and stuff, though this is also a low point because there were times in 2012 I was trying to force feuds to be good to justify a hype package because I loved them so much. Now Hype Guy just does them for Epopmania and HYPERNATES for 10-11 months afterwards. But that's fine - it makes Epopmania even more special.

So I'm Matt Cox. The picture and quotes there are me. So that shit was happening. I was talking to reporters, it was one of the craziest things that ever happened to me...so obviously, I wasn't thinking of my plan to book Ruin when I got home. Things took a bit of a turn given my parents were crying at the arrivals lounge expecting an explosion any minute and I was delayed by hours getting out of the airport. And there were a ton of reporters outside arrivals waiting specifically for me because of that photo I took that got plastered all over UK Twitter for a couple of hours. I made a topic about it on b8 I think when I had a calm moment, waiting for my luggage, so b8 knew it happened.

I finally opened my PMs to find one from Strife complaining that Ruin hadn't gone up. I told him why and he said "well you could have put a warning in the topic saying 'sorry, hoax bomb threat on my plane, Ruin is delayed'". At the time too much shit was going on to be bothered but later I realized just how much that fucking irritated me. I was done with Strife for a long time after that. It was when I thought I made a mistake recruiting him in the first place. Thankfully, since then, he's levelled out. But that was the nadir of Strife stuff. After that things started to improve.

Mt Rushmore: Boko, XIII, Dr Football, Tom

High point: Winning the Ultimatum as Broken Raven and getting to face Dp at Epopmania IX's main event

Low point: Pretty much a good chunk of 2009 for me, despite winning a middleweight title, 2 heavyweight titles, a tag title with Tecknic, and the first ever MITB match. Despite those accomplishments, that year was quite forgettable cause I couldn't cut a promo/angle to save my life and it completely soured my feud with TimJab.

During my time in UCA, I've never been involved in a match that was headlined as the "Main Event" of the topic. I always ended up in the "Undercard" section of a topic. Granted, most of the matches which end up as the "Main Event" are stuff like the Undisputed Heavyweight Championship, which I never had a chance at reaching. I might have had better success in UCA if I knew how to cut promos. I also didn't have much time to devote towards UCA stuff (even if that only includes starting up feuds and trash talking people).

The highest UCA title I've made an attempt at was the Middleweight/Intermediate title, and I've also managed to possess the Melee Mayhem title at one point in the past. The best time I had in UCA was being in possession of both the Melee Mayhem title and Master of Taybles at the same time.

Given recent events, I recall a situation. I already mentioned undergoing a face turn via the Alec Soaring Eagle suit. At the time, I was feuding with Apollo towards Mania. In the midst of it, Eddv throws out an offer that looms kinda large in the "What If" department.

I was originally asked to be the third member of TRIFECTA.

I'm not saying things didn't work out for me. I was laser focused on the Apollo feud (the crux of which was I wanted to be on my own). I kinda felt going to another stable at the time would be a step back (even if Eaed and Eddv were obviously really good). Sultan was the replacement, and it eventually led me to the Knights of the Night somehow....and of course the Hardcore Match, so yeah. Big what if there.

I don't know about the TRIFECTA scenario, but I figure it would have worked regardless of whether Sultan or I were in it. The dynamics of the team would be different. Sultan certainly added a Roman Reigns element, while I would have been a Dean Ambrose (or even a scheming Seth Rollins type, given my creative ideas when I PM things).

I ended up teaming with Eddv later, but I don't think Eaed and I ever worked together. An odd coincidence, with how Mania is shaping up for those three.

I wonder if other users have "What Ifs" they think about.

Depends on the situation. I would have probably been more volatile and risky. I was always more interested in the "themes" of feuds rather than results too, so I had a tendency of throwing out my own interpretations rather than following along. Even withChris, I think we had different ideas of what DARKNESS was
