Current Events > Dang, my neighbor got pissed at me for spraying their dog with a hose.

About 2 weeks ago my I saw my neighbors dog shitting on my lawn. I have found shit on my lawn multiple times but this was my first time seeing which neighbors dog it was. They were outside so I walked over, said your dog pooped in my yard, you gonna clean it up? Took a while to get them to clean up after their dog but they eventually did.

They were saying its only a pug, its not a big poop, who cares. I said I care, its my lawn, keep dog shit off my lawn. Got a little heated but I didn't like them already so whatever.

Today I was outside, saw the pug come over to my lawn, walking around so I got the hose ready. As soon as it squatted I soaked it with my hose. Neighbor lady comes running over screaming at my for hurting her dog. I told her to keep her dog on a leash and to clean up after their pet and this wouldn't happen. She started screaming so I just went inside.

What is up with people thinking its ok to let your dog shit in someone elses lawn without cleaning up immediately after it?

the property lines are conclusively divided and they are actually 2 houses down and across the street so its not it was a matter of my land/your land. its a matter of a dog being off leash and letting it shit willy nilly.

the first time it was heated as in both of us were frustrated in the other for what we thought made a good neighbor I think but no real raised voices, this time she was straight up yelling at me.

So they weren't even walking the dog. They (owner) were in their property, across the street, 2 houses down so maybe like 150-200 feet away. They just let their dog out, in an unfenced area, off leash. The dog yelped when I sprayed it with a hose which caused them to notice and come running. They also life closer to the main road, I am deeper in the cul de sac so they likely would never be walking it by my place to begin with, its just when its off-leash.

Your only hope now is to try and lure them into the lobby of a large office building or a theatre that's currently playing an animated movie.
