It's pretty quickly approaching - March 25th is the last day that you can add Wii Points to your account via credit card or any unredeemed points cards you may still have laying around.

January 29, 2019 is the last day that you can purchase new software. After that point you can still redownload software you have already purchased, but that too will cease eventually (date TBA).

So, uh, here are the lists of games for anyone who is still looking to add to their collection, and feel free to make recommendations before the opportunity to get these is gone for good.

I agree, there's still quite a few games I want to buy but don't want to feel rushed to do so (though I suppose 12 years isn't exactly "rushing" but still)

I will admit, I still vastly prefer physical over digital. But Nintendo made backing up pretty easy, at least for 3DS and Wii, and I purchased many of my retail games digital on 3DS. Not sure about Switch though. Last I heard you couldn't even back up your save files?

there's a video that lists all the games that aren't available on other platforms like lolo 2, might be a bit out of date since wii u vc has been adding some tg16 titles.

I'd probably focus on tg16 games that you have any interest in because of the price gouging in that market, and the sega console games. neo geo games you probably don't need to worry about due to the aca line and other rereleases or remasters.

This is why I DON'T buy digital games with Nintendo unless the price is at least 50% off

I'm posting on my vita, so I can't copy and paste a link, but it shouldn't be hard to google it.

though the lists I see don't really take into account some more recent releases on the wii u vc like lords of thunder or battle lode runner, or games that were on sega or capcom's compilation titles.

Should be noted that this game allows you get a Mew and a Manaphy (or is it Phionne?) to transfer to Diamond/Pearl, but like Santa said, you need to be outrageously addicted to Pokemon or put forth a shit ton of effort for something that you can get more easily through other means.

yeah you would need to transfer 1000 pokemon into the ranch from the slowest pokemon games (d/p/ptt) in order to get mew

they give out mew like lanyards nowadays so it's not super worth it

(but I did it because I hate my life)

wow that list had a lower bar for entry than mine, and mine was incredibly low!

Let's CATCH encapsulates the blue-ocean zeitgeist that defined the Wii at its commercial peak it's Sega alum Yuji Naka's expertly-crafted, fastidiously relaxing vignette about playing catch, and not much else.. If you're still intimidated by the white-knuckle intensity of Wii Sports, this is the game for you.
