Ive been watching jacksepticeye play it. it looks amazing. they've kept the mood and atmosphere of the original game intact perfectly while giving it legitimate PS4 graphics (ok, maybe late PS3 graphics, it looks great regardless). The controls have been revamped but you can choose the original scheme if you prefer it. A complete graphical overhaul with the same gameplay (maybe some minor QOL improvements). To me that's still a remaster. But the best possible remaster.
