Hm, i dont know. I guess diverticulitis pains, which are hard to describe but really terrible. when id get the first signs of it cropping up again id get a feeling of dread. But after a while I got used to it and didnt care even though it did hurt. when i went in for surgery the surgeon remarked to my mom how horribly infected my colon was and how brave i was. weeks before i knew i was having DT pains but just kept up the antibiotics and stopped caring knowing "eh, doc will fix it" even though the last time i saw him it wasnt quite as bad.

im fine now though

improperly sedated root canal, I felt the full sensation of having a nerve pulled out with a tiny drill-like toothpick.

the worst pain I never physically experienced was probably when I turned my broken wrist around for the x-ray, it seems I can't feel that kind of pain but it can overload my brain.
I was blind and deaf for a seconds, and I got motion sickness while sitting completely still.
I've had 2 similar(but less severe) events like that, both right after breaking a bone.

Concussion from skateboarding, headache the following day was unreal. Another time a nurse was looking inside my ear and wanted to clean it out, but she shoved this plastic pick so far inside and was scraping the inside of my ear, it actually made me a little dizzy and I reeled in pain and looked at her like "wtf are you doing".

Sometimes the pinched nerve in my chest acts up and can put me on the floor pretty easily.

I've felt that one too. Three times in the same root canal, they tried to start and it still wasn't numb enough. Torture.

The worst pain I ever felt and the second worst pain I've ever felt are part of the same event.

I had to have a spinal tap. Surprisingly, having a needle put in my spine to collect liquid was easy and fine. What came after was not.

So when you get a spinal tap, if you're unlucky, you get this thing called a spinal headache. It's caused by your spinal fluid continuing to leak out so that your brain is no longer properly cushioned. It's like having your brain fall on the floor of your head.

The pain was unspeakable. It's fine if you lay down, the brain comes to rest in a comfy position. But if you sit or stand upright for so much as a split second, the hammer comes down. It is not just a headache, it's being tortured. Pounding and burning and feeling like your brain is screaming.

I spent several days in bed, trying the at home remedies for it. Peeing felt like it took a hundred years since I had to be upright. Finally we went to the hospital.

The cure is almost worse than the problem.

I had to get what's called a blood patch. The doctor takes a lot of blood out of your arm and injects it into your spine. It's believed to patch over the leak causing the headache.

The needle used in this process is more like a tube. It is big. Biiig. You do not want it in your spine. I had to sit upright on a table, with too little local anesthesia, while this monstrosity was pushed into my spine. I think this took about a thousand years. I was trying not to scream, covered in sweat and about to either vomit on the nurse or pass out completely. I couldn't move for a very long time after they finally let me go.

I am never agreeing to a spinal tap again. LOL

So far the recovery after my gall bladder removal. That's just because it was really painful to use my abdominal muscles for like a week afterwards so getting in and out of bed, going from sitting to standing, etc was all very painful and they don't give you very good pain medication nowadays.

The only other thing I can think of is my wisdom teeth removal recovery because they had to remove a portion of my lower jaw bone on both sides and that was crazy painful.

My right eye got an infection when I was 16, for a week it felt as if someone was stabbing me in the eye with a knife from the moment I was awake until I fell asleep. I had to stay out of any bright light since the pain would intensify a hundred fold if I didn't. As a result of it I got a scarred cornea on my right eye which has given me permanent blurred vision on the right side.

During this time I got an emergency appointment to see my doctor (useless bitch that's now been struck off and no longer allowed to practise medicine in the UK due to multiple blunders which ranged from permanent disfigurements, to miscarrage, and a few deaths).

On my first visit she said there was nothing to worry about, it's just severe conjunctivitis, gave me some eye drops and that was it.

A few days later no change, so I went back once again to see her. I told her vision in my right eye has gotten worse, the pain even more so. She looked at me then in a condecending tone said I need to get glasses. At that point I admit I lost it a little. I asked her if she was fucking serious, and I proceeded to ask her if she is infact a legitimately qualified doctor or if she downloaded her qualifications off of the internet.

After that I went to A&E where I was diagnosed with having keratitis. If I had listened to my doctor I was told I would've lost my eye. Since then doctors have put me on a cornea transplant list since they believe it'll eventually rupture so, I've still got that to look forward to >_>

Having my guts crushed in a car wreck when I was 9. Actually, the actual crash didn't hurt, I guess I was in shock. It was the following week filled with such intense pain I couldn't stand it. I couldn't eat, drink or sleep the entire time. The only reason I survived is because of IV drips I got from the frequent trips back to the hospital and they said I was simply dehydrated. Turns out my intestines had been severed, and crushed, and had developed gangrene. I was told that the recovery after my surgery would be extremely painful, but honestly, compared to the pain I'd been in it felt like heaven.

I'll still get random pains from that today(25 years later). They're extremely painful, almost as bad as the pain from back then. They tend to happen every few weeks and completely cripple me until they pass. Any kind of movement makes it worse, I made the mistake once of forcing myself to the bathroom and peeing during a mild episode and I thought I was just going to die. Walking to the bathroom made it awful, then actually peeing intensified it so much. I literally passed out from the pain trying to get back to my room. It's bad sometimes, but I just have to wait it out.

I had a biopsy taken from inside my chest when I was a teenager. The recovery didn't hurt too bad, but they had a blood drainage tube connecting the inside of me to the outside through my ribcage, which was really tender if you bumped it but otherwise wasn't horrible.

A week or so later, the tube had to be removed. They literally just pull it out. You feel it tugging on your innards. Exactly what you'd imagine being stabbed is like, except like 10 seconds long. Jesus Christ.

Probably the current physical symptoms I have from anxiety. Mostly the constant head pressure. I see it as the worse because it's hard to find a cure if one exists at all. Although with that said it's probably something to be controlled not cured.

Other then that I had a stomach ulcer for years. I didn't know what it was until the last few months I had it. It caused a lot of stomach pain and I ended up throwing up acid everytime I consumed something. In the end though it burst. It was scary when it did as I passed out and woke up throwing up blood. Still I went to hospital, had a stomach operation and had that fucker removed. No way was I taking the risk of it coming back. I'll live with the scar on my stomach over that.
