If these were my only choices, I possibly wouldn't mind A, D, E, or H. F maybe, but it's a stretch. That being said, there are problems with each of those still:
A - pineapple is fine, but I don't think it fits with the other flavors
D - mushrooms are like 50/50 for me
E - not big on onions
H - not sure if the tomato sauce would be right for it.
F - the spinach is pushing it.

Haha.

For the others
B - not a fan of banana peppers
C - no artichokes for me
G - sardines are a nogo
I - hot sauce is not a pizza topping I need

No... Pizza would be full of meat drippings. It's not vegetarian if you pick off the meat because the very juices of the meat bake into the damn pie. People that are longtime strict vegetarians can get sick from this.

The majority of vegetarians are grossed out by that, I'm aware, but some are OK with it. I know one who was sometimes OK doing that, even if it wasn't exactly her preference. Again it's their call. Vegetarians are about not eating meat. That's the only requirement. They're allowed to eat something meat touched if they desire. You shouldn't judge someone for either personal choice they make on that matter.

Maybe some people might get sick. Unless there's an allergy or something else going on, though, I suspect most vegetarians would not get sick from a trace amount of meat. I mean, aside from sick as in "grossed out so I want to vomit." I'd wager that those stories don't happen very often.

Regardless, vegetarian isn't a religious order. It's just someone who doesn't eat meat. That's the only requirement, and while most vegetarians I know would probably not want to pick the meat toppings off of a pizza, there is no other requirement for being a vegetarian other than not eating meat. Eating something that is not meat, but has traces of meat, is not the same as eating meat. There's nothing wrong if a vegetarian chooses not to eat something with traces of meat, but they're still a vegetarian even if they choose to eat it.

Then by your logic a pasta sauce that completely blends in beef without it looking like meat at all is vegetarian. Or something that uses bacon grease as an ingredient.

Someone can still be a vegetarian if the accidentally ingest things with meat traces. However, any pizza that has meat cooked on it is not vegetarian food, even if you pick off the meat later. I don't think anyone needs to hand in their veg card for picking things off of pizza. What I am saying is it makes the pizza non vegetarian and can cause issues for some.

Yes I've seen it happen with friends before. This example is from many years ago. Someone served him vegetable soup. He got pretty sick. Turned out after it was full of beef stock. It's not meat, it has traces of meat, and still set off a very bad time for that friend.

Incidentally any time we had pizza together Nick got his own vegetarian pizzas separate from anything with meat. It only seemed polite. He told me after he usually had to pick it off and that was a gamble which had made him sick before. He just didn't want to impose by asking for it separate. He's not the only veg friend I've had with that experience.

I have also had friends with medical issues that did not allow them to eat meat. So they could not choose to just eat meat, they'd get very sick.

Keep it separate for people that don't eat these things, it's not hard

There's a difference between someone who doesn't like chocolate scraping chocolate icing off the top of a vanilla cupcake, compared to someone who doesn't like chocolate trying to get all the chocolate out of a chocolate cupcake. It's apples and oranges. It's easy to pick off meat toppings on a pizza, and less easy to pick out the meat in a meat sauce.

I didn't say that a vegetarian can't get sick from eating trace amounts of meat. I said most won't. I'd also argue a soup full of beef stock is a little more than trace amounts, but I guess that gets into where you draw the line and such.

I was not arguing etiquette, though. Of course you should get a meatless pizza if you have a vegetarian coming over, and not expect them to just pull the meat off. It's just plain considerate. I'm just saying that pizzas without meat are vegetarian, regardless of how they got that way, even if many vegetarians would refuse to eat it, either because of health or simply general disgust.

I am not saying "oh, vegetarians should just stop complaining and just pull the meat off." I'm saying "they're still vegetarians even if they pull the meat off and eat the rest of the pizza."

Funfact about my previous post that started the whole veg debate thing: I'm not a vegetarian and I like meat, but I don't like how it tastes when combined with cheese specifically, like I enjoy hamburgers but i can't for the life of me stomach a cheeseburger, I'd rather go hungry than eat one of those, same with lasagna. I never thought about me liking plain margherita or "cheese" pizza as a vegetarian thing.
