Now this is the Venus song that I was hoping would be included by the user who nominated it.

Traveling with Wagon is really pleasant to listen to, but I have to admit that it does very little to stand out.

M. Bison's theme sounds like an over-the-top character or course selection screen for a SNES game. I kind of like it, but it isn't something that I would see myself listening to again for fun.

I feel bad that I keep getting these Star Control songs because they just have a low ceiling for me. I wonder if firsthand experience with their context would improve my outlook on them, but I try to evaluate songs solely on their own merits.

Sorry, but Sing to Me bothers me due to the needless aggression that I think the vocalist approaches many of the verses.

My feelings toward Amsuementive Crime are complex, but overall it is one of my favorite songs that I don't recall hearing before this project.

Over the Sorrow is a much better song in context than out of it, but I'm sticking to my guns about being fair in my rankings.

Paradigm is a fine song. I'm starting to think that maybe I was never really in love with Gimmick!'s soundtrack. I always thought it had a deep soundtrack, but maybe it's really just top-heavy.

Choir songs are tricky to win me over. This one just feels like an prelude to a much better and more interesting song.

I wouldn't doubt Poppy being a great atmospheric piece while playing the game, but for someone like me, its 2+ minute runtime can simply be described as tedious.

Another really strong block, which was a pleasant surprise since I thought I would not be a fan of this one based on the games the songs were from. Unfortunately, despite being a pretty good song itself, Christmas is Here is the clear last place here. Had a lot of trouble ordering the other 4 though, which were all really good.

And with that I think everything from rotation 2 is either finished or claimed. I'm able to do more if needed, but I won't actually claim anything unless you ask me to take some block from a different rotation, azuarc.

- Just super-solid instrumentation, very well-done
- Very pleasant listen, not much else.

I was contemplating voting Blood on the Dancefloor over Cider Time, but I know that would have been a lie, so the song that I twice or thrice failed (I am like 0-10 in getting Dustforce songs that I originally nominated) across to get into VGMC gets max points.

I was getting some Risk of Rain vibes with Dancefloor, and then I finally saw that Chris Christodoulou composed Deadbolt's soundtrack.

With a name like Flight, it suggests it is a travel theme (I have never played Xenogears for the record), but it sounds like a blend of that and a climactic fight theme. I have not been impressed by most from what I have heard from the soundtrack, but this has to be my favorite that I've heard.

It starts out sounding like the first thing you would hear when you start up a new game, but it quickly shifts gears and transforms itself into not anything new or dynamic but something I could listen to on loop for awhile.

I like Yehat's Theme, and I'm pretty sure that I've heard it before because the animation of the pterodactyls operating some equipment looked awfully familiar. Unfortunately, it was put into what was easily the strongest block that I evaluation.

Yep, this is also how I pretty much found the game. If you're a fan of Hotline Miami, it's essentially this game in Sidescrolling form.

Ironically, this was my most "had-to-put-in" song when I was first devising my noms, but it's apparently the most polarizingly voted of the bunch. Listening to it now, I guess it's only charm stems from the context in which you play this level (think nightclub with vampires and you're sent to assassinate them).

I initially thought Deadbolt's OST was similar to Hotline Miami's, given the genre of their games but I was quite surprised that Chris has managed to arrange all sorts of different styles in his tracks, with this one being the only HM-ish song.

Anyways, looks like my day just got busier so I probably won't get to my block until the succeeding day

- Adore this DOS2 track, it's got a very indie rock sort of feel to it and was hooked on it right away.
- That percussive hit is everything. The awesome synth is just bonus.
- I almost forgot this was playing midway through the song then at 2:00 minutes I was reminded of Resident Evil Outbreak's awesome opening theme and that saved the entire thing.
- The folk atmosphere is very relaxing and lively.
- It's a little lacking for most of the song, but it kicks into high gear around the 3 minute mark with some excellent synth. It's too little, too late though.
