I use em both. Got on the Instagram train two years ago and, while I haven't posted anything, I love surfing through all the meme pages.

Facebook's pretty useful for the event invites and the messenger.

Never had a Facebook and deleted my Instagram in early 2017 because it made me depressed.

YouTube, WeChat and QQ have more active users

I've had a Facebook for years but don't use it much outside of the messenger app.

I had an Instagram but deleted it a while ago. I think I was having trouble figuring out how to disable notifications and got pissed and deleted the entire thing. Didn't use it anyway.

Instagram is basically a godmode version of facebook. You dont have to put all sorts of info for people to stalk you, you can still post pictures whenever you want attention, you can follow your favorite athletes/celebs, you can find all sorts of memes/videos/pictures that will interest you without ever having to look at the annoying posts made by people you know. Oh and the best part is that you dont have to deal with every other post being about politics or seeing people that you know constantly saying things you dont agree with.

Basically, its all the good things about facebook and none of the bad

I use Facebook but really only to post memes and maybe look at what other people post. Or try to. They've really screwed it up the last several years so that it's just impossible to actually just see what people are doing in their lives. I'll scroll through like a dozen articles and posts and then they start to repeat. What's the friggin' point?

I just have people text/call me. Generally it works out.

I'm part of a small group chat with IRL friends though (or at least, started out as IRL friends. I haven't seen some of them in person for years.)

I have Facebook, but only post once every month or two and refuse to use Messenger. Glad I didn't delete it because it's how I found out my reunion was happening.

Never used Instagram, Twitter, or Snapchat though.
