I always get a kick out of posts that clearly demonstrate that the poster did not read a single word of an OP or sometimes even the topic title! Anyway, I don't think I have the best thought out poll choices, but I'd say the second option fits me best. Usually I start skipping posts in a topic if it has 100+ posts already.

depends on length versus how much it interests me. also what its about, like if its simply asking for ones opinion on something I don't always read everything. and when I say opinion I mean something completely subjective that can't really be argued by anyone other than idiots such as "which game in this series is your favorite" my opinion could be the least popular and nothing anyone could say would change it. so why bother.

I usually read all or most of the first post. Sometimes other posts too.

If it's not interesting I'll just look at a different topic.

if it is a long topic I skip most of the posts. If it is short I read all of it.

Really depends.

Yes if it's an interesting topic with very little posts.

Also yes if it's a VERY interesting post and no more than say like 150 posts.

No if it's not interesting or only mildly interesting and it has a lot of posts.

I generally read through the entire topic, but will skim over posts that seem pointless.

I also don't bother with multi-page topics unless it's something I have an interest in, but my settings are for 30 posts per page, so multi-page topics are huge for me.

I will try to read it all. If it's long, it would have to be of some interest. Or I could be very bored, I guess. But, if it's long, then I'll just read certain ones. And apologize if I respond the same way as many, many others or something. I read these, btw...

Depends how long my interest lasts. In general though I try and read most things posted in a topic but I don't read everything.

if I have something to say after reading the first page but then realize it's 7+ pages long, I'll jump to the end and try to get caught up on the current conversation and see if I can contribute. sometimes the thread has evolved away from the original topic though.

Usually, if it's a question topic like this, I'll read the OP and then post my answer to the question. From there I'll skim a few other posts, see if anything jumps out at me, and respond to those posts if so.

Rarely do I read an entire topic anymore unless it's 20 posts or less.
