I love everything about Pikachu. But honestly the over exposure in general kinda hurts it a little bit.

Also love that Ash's Pikachu is a total asshole

There's a lot of things to consider

Ash's friend in the anime pikachu is a pretty decent character, he's not a "the strongest pokemon to ever live so he wins all of his matches" I think statistically he only wins around 50% of the fights he's in, which makes watching his fights genuinely tense and interesting. He's humorous, sarcastic, absurd, emotional, self-aware honestly probably the only character with actual depth in the anime itself (not that that's saying a whole lot)

As a public icon, he's the mickey mouse of my generation. He's internationally known, easy to recognize, and has achieved a fictional character status that surpasses almost all others.

In the games, he's similar to the anime character, in which he's usable, but not an overpowered character, which makes him and interesting choice in a team. Not to mention he has that z-move where he's basically just thrown at the enemy like a grenade.

His flaws? Well, basically, his only flaws come from what he does TOO well. Overexposure of his likeness. voice, and catchphrase. I guess his defense isn't that great either.

It's a bold move, but I'm giving pikachu a 10/10

Cute. Fun to use in Smash.

Anime is a mixed bag. I do kinda agree he's a Mary Sue, and that he kinda gets the spotlight more than I'd like, but being a dick to Ash is funny.

It's a thing that says its own name and doesn't really develop as a character ever. It's fine for children, but I never really was a child, so it does nothing for me.

Everyone can continue to talk about him being a dick to Ash, but it was about 2% of the anime. Since then they've been garbage friends since one character is devoid of any and the other I can say when it shows up. Even then, voice is the worst when it has one, and they try to play it out as the cute one when Pichu exists.

I dislike the anime version, but I kind of like Pikachu in Red/Blue. and catching a Pikachu in Viridian Forest is my preferred way to beat both Misty's gym as well as the overabundance of birds and Zubats in the early-game.

It's funny how when he electrocuted a character in the anime? You can see the skeleton bones.

You press the B button in Smash Bros and you can see the bones the characters are made out of.

Do you guys seriously think a Mad Max video is going to get a 1 million hits on YouTube.

Why the hate for Pikachu? Like a 6 year old is ever going to dress up as a Harry Potter or Lord Of The Rings character on Halloween.
