I am on a business trip in India, and I was briefly back in my room before dinner. I randomly noticed a couple things:

1) My room at night looked kind of classy.

2) I was in a suit, and also looked kind of classy.

So there was a spark between my two neurons which made me think "huh, this would kind of look good as a dating website pic".

i got off my ass, started dieting, started exercising, lost a shit ton of weight, went on multiple dates, and eventually got a girlfriend. I changed myself for the better. Am I letting myself go because I have a girlfriend now? No i'm not.

Granted, hair loss isn't really as controllable as weight, but it's close enough to make the point.

I was rushing her out of somewhere because I had a haircut appointment. If you're late you get charged extra and of course the barber will be pissed cuz now his whole schedule is thrown off. Been my barber for years and I'm not going to some new random barber. In a pushy voice I said, we can do this later, let's go I can't be late. She gets mad and turns and her phone bumps into my arm and drops and shatters and she says it's my fault her phone broke because I was rushing her. There was a complication so it was taking longer than expected and she was aware beforehand that we had to sort of be in and out due to my appointment and it could easily have been done right after my haircut. I didn't mind helping her out with replacing it at all but she is arguing with me about not admitting it's my fault. Fuck her and her phone

Was supposed to have my first Tinder date after about 6 weeks on the platform this Tuesday. She rescheduled for next week saying she would rather have her own money and doesn't get paid until around the 28th (she's in school, works a campus job). Told her I'd be willing to cover her, but she doesn't want me to do that. Fine with me, probably a good thing she feels that way anyway.

I threw out the idea of "Netflix and chill" among other ideas to see how she would react (more specifically anime and chill as she's very much into anime, it's our main common ground). Seems pretty opposed to that but open to just about anything else, so I'm guessing she's looking for a boyfriend. I wouldn't say I'm looking for a girlfriend but I'm also not opposed to it if we click. I'm mostly on Tinder for sex though so if we do click and there's no sex by the 3rd date I guess that's it. Even so, never really dated before, should be interesting either way. I've hung out and hooked up but never really a date.

If you really want to go for it. For a first gift though she'll likely just be happy you got her something. If you have a hard time thinking of gifts keep it simple for now. Me personally I don't like going down in gifts. And you guys haven't even been together that long.

With her age instead.

- Some have to show your full body.
