What movie comes to mind when you think of Tim Burton?

His IMDB page:
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000318/

There are so many Tim Burton movies that I love. Unfortunately they're all quite a few years ago. I just don't think he's got it anymore. Like, I would love a Beetlejuice 2 like they keep talking about but given Tim Burton's recent work I don't think he could pull off a good movie anymore. And that makes me sad.

Maybe if I went back to the movies that he directed they wouldn't stand up. It's been a few years since I watched some of his classics. But I did watch Beetlejuice this year and i loved it. And my little 6 year old sister loved it. Also Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is fairly new and I do like that one... not great but better than the original.

That all being said, my favorite movie would be a movie he didn't direct. Nightmare Before Christmas is 100% Tim Burton.

Any nominations going forward would be cool. I have a big list of 'em now but if you suggest someone on there they can move up the rankings and come sooner. Also, if you have any input on how to improve the topic, let me know.

Previous days (If you wanna participate):
Day 21: Robert De Niro

Day 25: Sean Penn
Day 26: Brad Pitt
Day 27: Uma Thurman

Ed Wood. Best movie in his repertoire, IMO. After that (and after Nightmare Before Christmas), his quality starts to slide as he enters the "Depp and Bonham-Carter in everything" phase, from which he has never bounced back.

I think he wrote The Nightmare Before Christmas but someone else directed it. That's the movie I always think of when I hear Tim Burton's name.

Mars Attacks! is kinda good but honestly I think everything else he's ever made is bad or awful, his style is obnoxious, and Johnny Depp is not a good actor.

Everyone saying Nightmare Before Christmas and he didn't even write or direct it. Just conceived the original story and hired other people to make a "Tim Burton-esque film" and he went on to make his own films while Selick and his team made Nightmare Before Christmas.

Well that's not very nice but, yes. It about how you associate it in your brain more than anything. If we did Ron Howard for a Director Day and people answered Arrested Development, that'd be totally fair. (Though after looking at his IMDB, I didn't know Ron Howard acted as much as he did... but still)
