I know it's a common internet trope and all but Ive got 100 hours in every Fallout and elder scrolls and I can't think of a single time I'd call the games "buggy"

How the fuck does someone put 100 hours into Fallout 4

Think of all the videogames in the world someone could be playing. Or all the THINGS in the world that someone could be doing

And they put 100+ hours into Fallout 4

Man...I find it hard to believe.

Even Morrowind, which is the least buggy in the series, has shit go wrong like falling through bridges and such.

I can't remember running into any bugs during my first general playthroughs of Fallout 3, Oblivion, or Skyrim. I got a couple bugs with the settlements in Fallout 4, but I largely ignored settlements in general and didn't pay much attention to managing them so I wasn't surprised they started acting weird and it didn't really affect my game much at all.

Most of the bugs I've encountered in Bethesda games were during my second or third playthroughs where I was doing intensive min-maxing and exploiting everything I could. In my experience, they've always been thoroughly enjoyable and far more solid than people give them credit for. Definitely not perfect, but also understandable given the complexity of all the systems involved due to the scope of their games and worlds.

Yeah I call bullshit. You're most likely just not very observant. Bugs are common occurrences even in polished games.

ITP: You experienced a bug so therefore everyone experienced that bug.

I didn't say they were perfect. I said that didn't experience any bugs the first time through on a casual story-based playthrough. I encountered them when I played through again and decided to investigate every nook and cranny, complete every single quest, max out stats and abilities, etc. It's really not that hard to believe if you're not a blind hater.

For most people, the bugs aren't so common

esp so when you remember most people who show bugs and stuff on youtube are probably messing with mods and stuff

working with a bad install

pirated the game

have bad computers or specific hardware things that cause wonky errors

I don't think I ever really have either, but I don't completely fall in love with their games and play them for 100s of hours like a lot seem to, I generally just do the main quest once (with any sidequests I stumble upon along the way) then I'm done with it.

lol, Morrowind is not the least buggy in the series.

My personal experience was that Fallout 4 was the least technically glitchy. I did have a couple problems with dying due to random items accelerating rapidly when I bumped into them (like... heavy cars that shouldn't have been moveable by me anyway), and it did crash maybe once or twice...

Just a shame that the most stable game (in my experience) they made was also their worst -_-.

lol so much anger in this topic

I mean sure I've seen a poorly rendered wall or something here or there, but like I said, no more than any other AAA game. If I called Bethesda buggy I'd also have to call Halo buggy. It's just the normal amount for me.

Maybe people consider them buggy because they invest more time into them and so run into more issues

i bought skyrim for PC, less than an hour into the game i got to a point where i could not finish a level due to a character being stuck in a wall and unable to continue dialogue with, so i had to look up console commands to skip parts of the mission and force certain parts to reset

So...none of this?

I've never glitched through walls or experienced frozen or airwalking NPCs

If you think an open world game is glitchy because followers load in next to you in an elevator loading zone or ragdoll physics messed up when it was crushed under a bus, then all open world games must be called buggy

I'm saying my experience was never one I'd call buggy. 99% of the time everything went very smoothly, and I was never not able to progress or anything bad. Your video makes it look like there's tiny bug after tiny bug, hours and hours of small glitches. That never happened to me, I had well polished and fun games that never broke immersion.
