Also discovered that effective today, concealed permits are cheaper here in Texas. Price went down from $140 to $40 and the renewal price is down from $70 every five years to $40. That's pretty good. Wonder how cheap I can find a shooting class, since I believe it and passing a proficiency test are still part of the process.

I assume you're being facetious, but if you're actually worried about this, you don't need to be. I doubt you'll even see a civilian with a firearm and even if you do, it's not like they're gonna just blast you cause you're a limey. The only time you'll probably see any guns, is if you go looking for them, or see a copper.

I dont see any reason to carry a machete around, the only reason I use one is to cut down overgrowth in the yard.

But I do love my machete.

Just because it's a machete instead of a sword doesn't mean this isn't a Sleeping_King topic.

I'm basically just going to carry it to celebrate lol. I normally just use it for yard work as well and not that often.

Please don't lump me in with that weirdo. This isn't going to be something I normally carry, I have a pocket knife for that. The only other time I'll really carry my machete out the house, is when I'm going to the desert, as the brush grows annoyingly close in some places.
