Refresher please, I know that we can't offer a player something if we don't have the appropriate compensation, but what about multiple players when we have 1 of a draft pick? For instance, if I have 1 first, is it possible to make offers to 2 different players and only get 1? As a failsafe for if you get outbid by one RFAs team? Or are you limited to just 1 offer and if you get outbid then sucks to be you?

Two questions I forget the answers to:
1. How many AI trades can we do - is it one per off-season and one per regular season or something?

2. If we agree to a deal with another team's RFA, and say they're worth a 1st and a 3rd rounder, I would be giving up the lesser of two picks if I have multiple in the same round?

So in my case, I'd be giving up the Steelers' 25th pick overall instead of my 10th overall, and I'd be giving up the Patriots 3rd rounder?

Yeah we discovered last season that it is the lower pick you give.

Also that Steelers 25th pick is such an anomaly for a 6-10 team lol. Especially when you see that the entire rest of the AFC North is picking in the Top 8.

Yeah that's why I tied up Tufts mid-season to avoid him hitting RFA. He's not as good as Cedric Young (He's 87) but I was still worried I'd have to overpay to keep him if I let him hit RFA.

I meant to tie up Young earlier in the season and then just completely forgot :\

Phase 3 of Restricted Free Agency

5. If a team attempts to sign another team’s RFA, then the user who owns the RFA’s rights will have two days to decide whether or not to match the offer. If you do not inform me of a decision, you are defaulted to NOT matching the deal.

This is straightforward. Four users in total had players that received offers by other teams. These four users have all been notified what player received an offer, what the offer was, and what their next options are.

The deadline was explicitly stated in the PM, but as a second reminder, it is noon ET on Monday, September 18th. Should you idle this phase, you will default to not matching the offer that was given.

Everyone who did not receive a PM can sit back and relax (well, I guess those who did submit offers are waiting to see if their offer was tops AND if it was matched or not).

- Colts have signed Lions WR O.J. Murdock to a 4 year deal. The Lions have matched the offer.
- Titans have signed Ravens OLB Cedric Young to a 7 year deal. The Ravens have matched the offer.
- Panthers have signed Broncos DT Robert Satele to a 4 year deal. The Broncos have matched the offer.
- Vikings have signed Dolphins CB Jake Tyree to a 6 year deal. The Dolphins have matched the offer.
- Bengals have signed Pioneers DT Ekom Udofia to a 3 year deal. The Pioneers have matched the offer.
- Chiefs have signed Bears CB Brian Boyd to a 4 year deal. The Bears elected not to match the offer and will receive the Chiefs' 4th round pick.

Oh so close! Guess I should have offered more money. First time I've offered a contract to a player that needed a 1st/3rd...and the first 7 year contract I've offered!

Ravens could have had 2 picks in the Top 5! But I guess keeping the highest rating OLB in the league was more of a priority!

I was very much afraid that this would be the case.

It will be held from the 6th-8th or 27th-29th. I would rather not have this massive dead space between the second and third offseason events, so I am currently shooting for the former.

If I start signing your UFAs tomorrow and let it go for 10 days, that would bring us to the 29th. I could then post prospects and give people a full week to give me strategies, queues, and/or conditionals before the draft. Otherwise, we will have three weeks of nothing.

Yeah, the 6th is my birthday and I'm planning on that being the day we go out to dinner (we do a family birthday dinner for everyone). And I'm fairly certain that I'll be going to see Blade Runner after as well. 7th I'm planning on getting together with friends for the bday celebration. Though I guess dinner isn't necessarily going to be on the 6th right now so we'll see.

I mean, it is what it is so if I miss the draft, I miss the draft. I just like being around talking to people about it and whatnot. =/

EDIT: Actually, the 2nd day is usually in the afternoon so I could probably make the 7th anyway. *shrug*

I could've had two in the top 5, but I already have a good amount of picks and may add some with some trades, so keeping an excellent young LB that's needed for 7 years will definitely help -- especially with my team going the younger route now, keeping better young players is a priority

I’m not entirely sure on how much more, but I was tempted to not match it just cuz of the first and 3rd rounders, so probably not a whole lot

Signing Your Remaining Free Agents

Any player of yours whose contract expired and was not part of the previous event will be included here. This is an extremely straightforward event. You either sign or you do not sign players. Those you do stay on your team, those who don't enter the free agent pool.

When you receive the PM with your slashlines, remember that those are not the deals you have to sign them to. With one exception that I will lay out, you can sign anyone to deals 1-7 years in length. If you wish to give a player a custom offer, we can bounce PMs off of each other for a while (remember that there is a deadline). If you wish to offer someone a deal of a different length but do no want to bother with the financials, you can merely say you want to give X player the default deal for Y years.

There are only two wrinkles for this event. One is that a few players might hold out for better deals. I can confirm that two users have holdouts. What happens is that I will isolate them in the PM and tell you their base deals. If you elect not to sign them, they will stay on your team without playing a down for you until you trade them, release them, or give into their contract demands. If you do choose to give into their contract demands, do note that any guaranteed money left on their current deal will be transferred over to the new deal.

The second wrinkle is that some players hate your team to where they will only sign via the franchise tag, which is a one year deal that pays them the average of the Top 5 salaries at their position or 120% of their cap hit from last season. Whichever figure is the highest monetary amount will be what the franchise tag will come out to. I will isolate those players and also tell you how much money that comes out to as of this moment. Last season was the first time anybody ever used the franchise tag, so it is certainly much rarer than in real life.
