Yes, books, show, and now the film. Granted, the books are poorly written YA genre trash, but I still liked them as a kid and they aren't torturous to revisit for nostalgia as an adult. (Spooksville, on the other hand, reads a lot worse than I remembered.)

I dislike the concept of a story where the villain is plain undefeatable or you know the ending is going to be bad before you even begin it.

Even for a horror story I'd like there to be suspension of disbelief and for the villain to have to follow certain rules, instead of it just being some all powerful force that doesn't follow any real rules.

Hell yeah, used to watch that shit every day after school. Can't remember which channel it aired on over here in South America, I think it was Discovery Kids but I'm not sure.

I must have, cause from just seeing the dog on the thumbnail, it's like I already knew I used to watch this show when I was a kid. And the intro sequence seems to be recorded in a far off corridor of my brain, even though I wouldn't have been able to remember any of it, but as the music plays and the images change I remember it all looking/sounding exactly like this, without remembering any key details or characters from the show.

That's kinda creepy.

Was more of a fan of Are You Afraid of the Dark. But I did buy the complete Goosebumps book set like 10 years ago to read through them. Some stories are decent, a good number are bleh.

Those were great. Some of the endings were pretty brutal.

I think I had most, if not all of the main books up to the point where I stopped reading them (at least 40, possibily 50 or 60 of them) and several of the CYOA ones.

Didn't even know there was a movie.

I can agree with that. The weird endings kinda bothered me. I still liked the mummy book, though. The thing I liked about Goosebumps books in elementary school is that they were just long enough for Accelerated Reader, but just short enough that I could actually read them in a school week.

That was my favorite one too. Still have that one somewhere in my room.

Also the fact Adam West played the Galloping Gazelle in the show was awesome
