I think all of the XV characters are garbage.

Prompto was best until he randomly was revealed to be a robot has the dlc explained that at all?

Overall probably

Gladio > Noctis > Prompto > Ignis

But I dislike them all.

It's an end game twist that makes no sense and is completely inconsequential and made me angry at how random and pointless it was.

But the game totally played it like it was earth shattering

Penelo was the first boot for FFXII, but it still took her until the third contest.

Serah was the first FFXIII boot, and that happened in year two for the game.

Nael van Darnus was the first boot for FFXIV in his second year.

Tiz was the first boot for Bravely Default and that happened in year 1.

Tyro was the first boot for Record Keeper in year two.

Not sure who else qualifies.

Yeah, but Tidus is from the same series. And Yuna is from the same GAME.

Leblanc is literally the seventh best character in the FFX series.

Auron > Rikku (FFX only) > Jecht > Seymour > Paine/Kimahri > Leblanc >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Lulu > Yuna > Wakka > Tidus

Also Leblanc was in the contest in the raytan era, Nooj is the only member of the X-2 trio never to appear in the contest, and Shuyin is dead last in stats so these are not random ideas. Okay, maybe Brother was. As much as I'd like to get Shuyin into the contest in the New Age, it probably can't happen without some other interested party(star) that is long gone. My nominations next contest will probably be taken away by Basch and Wakka.

I actually do like Shuyin, for the record. He was very difficult to support in the early years of this contest though due to the smaller field, so that would account for his poor track record. I was definitely one of the people who helped him have stats at all though.

as someone who often gets weirdly attached to minor characters, I don't see the problem with niche saves. save who you like.

it only matters if you're trying to push a certain game, like the whole FFX General thing a few years back. then you should do the strategic thing and prioritize the mainstream guys. but it looks like the FFX crew doesn't care to do that this year, which is fine

It doesn't quite work that way. I got a Vayne freebie this year and that was it. I'm probably going to be giving one back to her next year or something I'm sure. I am pretty positive no amount of love for me is gonna get me Shuyin nominations, let alone a double >_>
