Mine is Quest 64. Found the battle system fun, liked the magic system, it was challenging, but doable, loved the final dungeon, and had retro charm. It was straightforward and predictable, but I think that's standard for that kind of RPG.

I have a love-hate relationship with Operation Darkness, which is definitely more than other people.

I enjoyed Fallout:Brotherhood of Steel. It was easy but a fun experience overall.

I also didn't see anything wrong with Lords of the Fallen. It was an easy game to 1000.

FFVIII. Granted i was a kid and couldn't get far, but everyone hated the story. I just loved the look of it and stuff.

I really enjoy sports games, and sometimes it's hard to find others that do the same.

Not sure. Most things I like seem to either be well-reviewed (even if a little obscure, like Magi-Nation or the criminally overlooked Monster Rancher DS) or popular (Custom Robo Arena, for instance, had an incredibly active board for years). Then, of course, others are from popular franchise so there *must* be fans (Star Wars: Pod Racer or YGO: Dungeon Dice Monsters)

One of the first things to jump to mind is Tank Battles, which wasn't widely played, wasn't widely reviewed, and wasn't widely liked. Really fun game where I put a good number of hours into. Supposedly the BattleTanx games for the N64 had a lackluster reception, but I was a major fan of those as well

I greatly enjoyed Quest 64 for the most part. I liked the gathering-level up aspect of the magic system.

Given that it's a main entry from a massively popular franchise with a 88% metacritic rating, it's a little odd that you ever thought it.

Battle Hunter, Saga Frontier, Saga Frontier 2, Final Fantasy VII: Dirge of Cerberus, Final Fantasy V, Final Fantasy VIII, Quest 64, Final Fantasy Tactics: Advance, Tales of Legendia, Demi Kids games, Romancing Saga and a bunch more I literally can't think of right now.

NOTE: These are games that quite a bit of people usually, at least have mixed feelings on.

Eretzvaju / Evil Zone: One of my favorite fighting games ever, and it's either unknown or shit on by everyone who has heard of it.

Super Double Dragon: Possibly my favorite DD game, but seems to be hated online. Or called a bad game just because the Japanese version has more content.

Pretty much every Koei "Warriors" title: Professional video game review sites can go fuck off. That is all. Especially painful since my favorite of the various series is Samurai Warriors, which is probably the least-known out of all of them.

I actually do know some people in real life who like that game: I know I do.

My answers? Well, I enjoyed Evolution Worlds on GameCube even though it was a mediocre game because I felt compelled to get a perfect rank in it, which was a unique challenge. I also enjoyed Sonic Heroes much more than the average person.

The "bad" Final Fantasy games (2, 8, 10, and probably 1 although quite a few people like that one as well).

2 I like pretty much everything about that game that people hate (The leveling system, the "dead ends" in dungeons, the rotating 4th party member) and the story is awesome.

8 is probably my favorite one, I LOVE the junctioning system and will literally spend hours just drawing magic from monsters so that all my party members can equip it to stats. Yea, the story is bad, but I can ignore it for the most part.

10 I found kind of fun. Once you get past the story the side quests are awesome and make the game a whole lot less linear then it seems.

I agree with just about everyone that 13 is the drizzling shits though.

If you go through some of the later game dungeons you will find a lot of doors to rooms. Some of these rooms contain treasure, the next floor, etc. But most of them are empty with high encounter rates.

This I actually like because it encourages you to keep a map and update it. For the most part other Final Fantasy games make their dungeons linear or for the most part somewhat open. This actually encouraged you to map things out, and punished you for not doing it (similar to WRPGs of the time).

In fact, probably the main reason I like 2 is that it feels the most like a WRPG of any Final Fantasy game.

8 and 10 have a lot of fans afaik. Less popular FF is like a less popular Star Trek; ie, it still has far more fans than most other franchises.

That was one that I was disappointed by when it came out, but I ended up liking it more than the next like 7 games, so I overall think of it more fondly than I maybe should. Game's got a legit soundtrack, either way, lol.

This is another one I was actually going to mention, lol. I wouldn't say it was a great game or anything, but I absolutely loved the combat system, and the story wasn't nearly as bad as some other games in the series.
