Obama and the Clintons killed the party, liberals and their SJW shit have killed the ideology and the 2016 election killed any chance they'll ever have for power for a good 2 or 3 decades. Comedy shows, light night shows, satire shows and the like only served to feed the hatred even more because no matter what trump will do in the future, no matter what his party is caught with, the democrats and liberals are just as guilty of it or people are desensitized to corruption and flat out lies, America is going to look at a Trump scandal the same way they look at shootings, they'll go "Oh, that's terrible" and completely stop caring by the time they finish that sentence. People aren't educating themselves anymore and the fact the Republicans are trying to restrict schooling even more is their attempt to hold office. That's where their base lies.... in the uneducated masses who think life is unfair and that their sucky life is based on immigrants stealing all these great jobs when in fact, immigrants take only the jobs no one wants or bitches over. My father will defend Trump back and forth when I throw him into an argument and it is hilarious.

My father loves weed. I tell him he put an AG in who wants to make it illegal nationwide. "Well all the illegals (this) and all the illegals (that) ...." I can bring up the Comey thing and he is like "They are trying to avoid letting Trump just do his job!" .... I am like "Guy, you aren't a voter and you clearly don't follow anything going on" .... His default is usually "they're taking our jerbs!" ....

The Democrats won the presidency on the back of the Michael Jordan of presidential candidates in 08 and 12, and lost power everywhere else. Obama and a few positive SCOTUS rulings made the party appear much more successful than it actually was. The party's a shit show and will in all likelihood fail to make significant gains in efforts to curb Trumpism.
