There was a portion where the head general of the camp wanted to set up a wrestling league where Cena and other Americans lost to German officers for propaganda purposes. Cena refused to job and shot on the guy he faced, leading to his necessity to escape in a hurry!

I've found that comparing it to live theatre helps get around that whole "fake" argument. Just talking about how it is very elaborate stage fighting and how some people are better at that aspect and others are better at the acting and storytelling aspect.

I also had a conversation with a bunch of professional stage actors recently and found it really interesting that even though none of them watched it they all had a lot of respect for the wrestlers; just for being able to do that kind of elaborate and brutal stage combat in a theatre-in-the-round setting.

besides ironman matches, probably a while

broadways were only really a thing when the NWA champ was still traveling from territory to territory to defend the belt against that fed's top guy

time limit draw is the best way to have the champ retain but still make your guy look like a million bucks
