Which made her go a little crazy ("Hey Tseng, if you see Zack, give him these one hundred letters I wrote him, okay?"), and then a year or so later, Cloud falls into her church in the exact fashion she met Zack, thinking he is Zack, except not really. So then you get the events of FF7, where she's playing along with nutso Cloud to a degree, but really just refusing to let go of her dead boyfriend.
