I would like Rose's character less if I started pronouncing it la-lawnd, just like I would like Kanaya less if I pronounced her name kuh-nye-uh. Names are a big deal to me, so when they're written I go with what I prefer. I made the original post in the first place because I have seen a few videos from people where they pronounced it la-lawnd, and I had to immediately stop watching the videos every single time because I could not stand hearing it like that. Why hasn't written English been revised during the last 100 or so years?
