Of the five entries I can remember playing, Conker is the worst. I really love both Zelda entries, and Atlantica has Ariel. Aquas ain't too hot, though.

Let's try to think up some worthy contenders.

- The water sections in Devil May Cry. Slow, difficult to navigate, unfun, and completely killed the pace. They weren't very long but totally sucked ass.

The water sections in Devil May Cry were lame and out-of-place, but they weren't that annoying. And the side-scrolling one before Phantom was cool.

The FPS parts were pretty awful imo.

- The few minutes you're in the submersible suit in KotOR. It's really short and I actually look forward to it because of an inside joke, but maaaan.

I can't really speak for most of these, but Water Temple gets way too much hate and Great Sea shouldn't be there at all.

And if the Atlantica level in KH2 counts, then hell, there is no excuse for ANYTHING being above it.

Clanker's Cavern and Wet-Dry world are awesome, if only because they made me deathly afraid of going deep underwater. Such a trip to play those levels as a kid and finally get the star/jiggy after so many failed attempts!

Eh, I beg to differ (and not just because it's me). Atlantica in KHII is completely optional and really easy. That's better than masochistically frustrating and mandatory imo.

I found the former temple to be more memorable but I can understand this.

The Wind Waker is my 10th favorite game and favorite 3D Zelda, but I will agree that the Great Sea is the worst part of the game. Still, the "holy darn adventure!!!" aesthetic and lack of loading times goes a long way in making up for it.
