Topic	What's required watching for mecha anime?

If you're looking for recommendations though, I'll second the other comments saying Gurren Lagann, Code Geass, Lagrange: The Flower of Rin-ne, and (though you'd have to research which individual entries interest you) the Gundam franchise.
