Seemed decently balanced. I think they made quite a few adjustments, came with a little note that says "Hey, these aren't tournament legal and they don't change the values of the cards they are reprints of."

For example Oak is a support card now and I got rocked by Mewtwo's Psychic getting a 2x damage boost.

Had a small game night and broke out the Pokemon Classic collection, and damn I'm pretty happy with that impulse purchase!

If you're really into classic Pokemon cards and can find it on sale for $300 I'd say it's worth it.
Something about having the felt board to play on, the nice damage counters, and the rolling a ball bearing instead of flipping a coin made it all a pretty fun experience.
Didn't know that every card was holo too, so that was a nice surprise.

Nice pickups, always loved Dark Charizard.
My local shop only really carries MTG singles, which given my habit of buying things because they look cool and shiny is probably a good thing for me.

Was also talking to the card shop owner about building some display cabinets/where he gets his from and agreed to try making some rotating display cabinets for them. Apparently the kind with the rotating rows of items are crazy expensive to buy but I think could probably be made for a fraction of the cost, just tore down an old broken 3d printer for the motors that I think should be able to drive it all.

Nice! Saved the best card in the set for last.
I'll probably end up getting a few packs of the new set when it drops.

Enjoyed the season, the finale was a bit meh. Biggest issue was like you said just undoing everything Supreme learned in S1, if they had given him any other motivation that wasn't a backtrack I think I would have liked the episode more, even it it were a stretch.

Last 2 episodes were fantastic, not sure which I liked more.

That may have been the most jarring cut in the MCU, it's like we were missing a clip.
S2 pretty great so far, I think the first half of the first episode might be my favorite. Hardened detective Nebula needs an entire season.

Finally hunted down my old cards! Here are the highlights:

For Charizards I've got one Base (I know I had two but one is MIA), a 1st ed holo Dark Charizard, and a few others. Grabbed a trainer box of 151 and managed to get two 151 Charizards from that.

Collected like crazy from base probably up to Rocket. Lucked into getting a lot of packs for deals, one huge get was at the Mall of America which had I think 3 Gamestop/EB stores and they were clearancing their base set packs down to like 75 cents. Went to all 3 and bought every pack, best vacation ever.

Also picked up a 1st edition booster box of Fossil when the cards were at a lowpoint around 2006 for I'm pretty sure under $100. Took a look at what they were going for during the peak of the craze (20k...!) and nearly fell out of my chair.
I think I'm maybe 3-4 cards short of having the full set in 1st ed, almost finished it up with singles back then and damn wish I had.

Still next Wednesday for me :(

When I worked at one...they were sometimes down with the crowd, even, but that was part of their job.

And no matter how friendly they were, it was rare if anyone thanked them except when we (the employees) collected money. Generally, it's understood that that person has a salary above what even the biggest earners in tips make on average.

The point was most people don't thank the individuals profiting the most either way.

When an owner is still controlling things, they reinvest some of the money they make, rather than work for a corporation.

Look I wish the guy well with whatever he's doing, and it could have been much worse. But thanking him for being here as things rarely ever got better, nah. By the way, I am currently an Ops Manager.

Been a long time since I've read it but I remember Griffith being a completely broken husk of a person who had been tortured to the edge of death for years before he used his demon-egg thing.
He was a person of endless ambition reduced to a shell that could hardly move or talk, he took the path did what he did out of ambition not necessarily out of desire to be evil. (Might apply to Wesker too? Don't follow RE lore too closely. I always remember Wesker just being a moustache twirling villain.)
