Togo's is so good but for some reason the meatball subs there (which I loved) started making me sick when I ate them about 5 years ago. There are none here so I can't tell if that stopped but of the chain stores, Togo's had the best meatball subs by far.

Well, I have never tipped only $2, but the options are always $2, $3, or $4 so I imagine you HAVE to tip in order to place an order.

There is a $2 service fee, so if half of that goes to the driver, that means a MIN of $3 per order delivered, so as long as they deliver 4 an hour, that is at least $12 and probably more I guess.

And there is a delivery fee ($1 right now, normally $4), so that would make up for it (as long as your not a member and get free delivery).

I'm trying to figure this out.

I mean i love the service, but...it doesn't make finacial sense.

So I just ordered some food. There is a 1$ delivery fee (first month) and a $2 service fee.

I tipped $3 (though not everyone has to do that).

I am watching the driver, they stop at the place to order the food, wait for it to be made, drive to your home and then have to drive to wherever they do the next order.

I don't see how they can spend less then 15 minutes per order and I bet it goes longer sometimes.

They don't get much if any of the service fee, and the delivery fee is waved if your a member (on orders of $15), so they must be working mainly on tips.

But even if they got 3$ a pop, that would only be around $12 an hour, and they have to pay for gas etc.

Doesn't seem like it would work finacially to me.

And GPA doesn't particularly reflect how willing somebody is to work hard. It mostly just reflects how willing somebody is to put in the required effort to memorize material for a one-time exam, which is a very specific task that they're choosing to work hard on (one whose only reward isn't particularly valuable, no less).

If you want new professionals to never have had experience working in a group before, sure. You may be surprised to find out, however, that collaborative work is pretty common in most professional fields, and not knowing how to work effectively with other people makes an employee pretty useless.

Most classes post AA require writing papers, creating programs etc (depends on the major obviously) and it's not just memorization at that point.

Team assignments meanwhile should be where your participation comes in, and not a primary part of your grade. In addition, you could have students work together as a team, then grade each team member individually based on their effort and work. This would still teach students how to work together, but if some of the students do almost no work, or turn in crap that another student has to totally redo in order to include it (and get a decent grade) they would get a lower grade on the team paper/assignment.

The way it works now, you are assigned a team, and the whole team is graded equally on the finished work. That does not work as there are waaaay to many students just trying to pass their classes which makes it very hard on the students actually trying to get/maintain a good GPA.

Getting an A- drops your GPA, I never got anything lower then an A- and graduated with a 3.97 which was very frustrating.

Sadly my college had 30% of the grade based on team assignments, there was pretty much no way I could have done better then I did. So yeah, unless you change the grading system, even making it something like a 3.5 GPA would probably not work.

I would be ok with a min of a 3.0 GPA in order to get student loans/grants etc though, at least that would motivate the other students to actually DO THEIR FREAKING WORK instead of just trying to cost by with C's based mostly on the efforts of team mates.

My school had something like 20% of the grade based on participation, 30% on team assignments and 50% on individual assignments, papers etc.

A lazy student could basically turn in total crap for their own work, get only 20% on average on individual assignments and still pass the class with a C as long as the team assignments were A's and the student participated (showed up for class etc).

You would probably not be amazed at how many lazy students there were that took advantage of that.

Lol, this seems like a straight up flip off of DC all together, basically getting around copy write infringement but making tiny changes and then having a different tone/premise, but still using the basic character and setup.

It's a what if superman was evil and not good movie plain and simple. It's one thing if this was done with the concent of DC, but I'm sure it wasn't.

I'll read more about it before I make any solid decisions, but this seems pretty cheap to me.

If taxes are factored in, it's actually a bit worse for the long term as you'll end up paying about the same %, but you'll notice it alot more with just 10k a month (which is equivalent to a 120k salary a year).

Still, would leave you about 5k a month which is plenty to live on comfortably, but...there are ways for you to invest your money and protect your profits that don't require you to pay taxes on them, which could make the lump sum (mostly) much more viable long term.

Remember you can split any income over 1 year between 3 years total as well.

That reduces the 15k*56 weeks ($840k total) taxable income to only about 280k a year.

Also since you don't have to pay the additional portions of taxes right away (just 1/3rd of it), you could quite likely make a significant portion of the taxes back by investing it wisely.

If you could get your total taxes down to only 30% (hard but tons of wealthy people do way better then that), you would only end up paying 10% the first year.....so still have $750k to invest. If you could even gain just 10% of that in a year, you would cover the taxes, and honestly you could more then double that with investments, buying selling homes etc. Hardest part would be to not get taxed on the profits.

Meanwhile the other method can't be split as your getting $120k a year for life, so your always going to be paying the taxes. Since you will actually need to live on a large portion of that, you won't be able to use methods to avoid paying as much taxes either (hence why the rich get away with it).

Means you could end up with only about 5-6k a month in reality from option A, and end up with WAY more with option B (by the end of 3 years, you could walk away with a few mill if you worked hard on it.)

By the end of the first 6 years or so (when you end up getting more money from option A then B before taxes etc) even using someone else to invest for you and do all the work (this is often done, you split the profit with someone who basically flips homes for you, while you bankroll them. This can easily still double your money each year with no real risk) you could end up with something around 50 million dollars (just doubling each year).

At which point even something super safe giving 5% interest would still net you 2.5 mill a year in profit.

While I did defend the first one, and you could totally make it work out better, honestly, I'm too old and lazy and i'd go for 10k a month myself. You just plain don't need more then that to be happy, or at least, if you can't be happy with that much, more isn't going to make you happy.

If I was in my 20's......I might go with the first option and aim to be mega wealthy/rich by 30. Work hard making money with the money for 10 years or so, end up with 20-30 mill, and then retire with a really nice place to live and enough money in interest to easily spend 20k a month.

But I was highly motivated in my 20's.

Really wasn't any spoilers but yeah, your point on Ragnarok was spot on.

The hammer part, meh, It would have mattered a bit, but nothing huge.

But Hulk? The whole planet hulk tie in etc would have been freaking AWESOME to see for the first time in the movie, I would have been talking about it for days. Instead, since it was in the trailer, it just made me look forward to watching it a bit more and I talked to one or two people about it and told some other friends to actually watch Planet Hulk.

So it did what they wanted, got people more interested and likely to see it, but at the detriment of the actual movie (which was awesome just the same). Still it could have been more awesome:(

i might try a whopper for 1cent, they used to be good.

In fact, the best burger I have ever had was when I was around 15 or so and working construction. Mid day we broke for lunch and I sweat, over 40 years later, I still remember how good that freaking whopper was. It was orgasmic.

But then again, back then BK actually flame broiled their burgers (way better then they do now at least). Think they probably still do, then freeze them and microwave them or something, no clue but they don't taste even nearly as good.

Still for 1 cent, ain't gonna complain. Also I think my closest BK and MC D's is across the street from each other lol.

It's kinda scary to be honest. I mean, you can basically get any food you want from anywhere without leaving your home at this point. Even by yourself it's just $5 more or so, but imagine if you were ordering with a bunch of people, it would be like $1 or $2 more.

Too easy to never leave your home at this point, you can work from home, play from home, and now, even get all your food just sent to your home. During the summer etc, it's not a big deal, but when it's cold and dark and snowy and dangerous outside? I ordered a pizza from NY vinnies tonight. They are like 3 blocks away. I could walk there (and would, and have in the summer). I could have driven there and back in 5 minutes, but I still ordered it in so I didn't have to go out in the cold.

That isn't lazy, it's actually smart, but.....it's the same outcome as being lazy....I didn't leave my house.

No milk, butter.

Always butter, it adds to the flavor and still makes it creamy.

I don't like melted cheddar though so I avoid creamy, but I still use butter.

I just use parmesian cheese first (don't mind that melted).

So I make the pasta, put it in a bowl, add a bit of butter, pepper, a bit of garlic, and stir.

Then I add about 1/2 as much parmesian cheese as I will be adding the powdered cheddar. I still it and it sticks to the cheese, and melts a bit.

Then I add half the packet of powdered cheese. I mix it so it's all one color and pretty evenly spread. If you do the whole packet at once it'll clump and stuff.

Then I add the other half and BAM, it's delicious and no melted yellow cheese for me:)

But yeah, butter is the key.

For my wife I used real cheeses as she likes it creamy and it's just way better that way.

Just leveled up my character Beryl to level 4 in my current campaign. He is a war cleric.

They had some rediculous rolling rules for the coalition (large group of people who play DnD), so I ended up with pretty insane stats (18 str and con!! 14 wisdom though).

Anyway, I took the 2 stats at level 4 instead of a feat and nabbed 20 str.

I also just got a +1 warhammer from fighting the crocoavatar at the end of the last campaign.

That combo gives me +8 to hit and +6 damage base with my warhammer now.

But...there are spells that add to that.

Divine favor is a bonus action (so doesn't count as a main attack) and adds 1d4 radiant damage for each hit. This means I can move, cast some other spell (for instance guiding bolt, which gives advantage to an attack on the enemy) and cast divine favor to prep for the next round when I can actually attack them.

Then as a war priest I get the ability to attack and extra time, twice. I can only do it a few times per fight/between short rests), but that is pretty huge especially with....

Divinity guided strike. Also only a few times, but it lets me add 10 to any roll to hit. I can choose when to do it, just need to do so before I know if the attack would hit or not.

That along with a +8 to freaking hit, can make hitting even on a 2 possible (2+8+10 hits a freaking 20 ac!!).

Meanwhile with +6 damage, that means I average with 2 hits 2d8+12 +2d4 or somewhere around 24 damage. Not enough to one shot most enemies on average at that level (about 30 hp or so average on enemies I'd say), but a crit would.

Crits are done a bit diff with this DM you do the max dice + roll the dice as well (instead of double dice etc). So in my case it would be 8+1d8 +6. That would make the average jump to 32 though..which would one shot most creatures my level on a crit (2 chances to get 1 crit, or 10% chance on average).

Meanwhile i also have tons of defensive spells. I'm not optimized with equipment (using scale male and a normal shield), but my AC is 18 normally (20 if I take the time to cast shield of faith). I have healing word (bonus action that heals, so i can still attack and heal).

I am also a good bodyguard. I have a spell warding bond, which basically gives +1 ac and saves to a character of my choosing, and resistance (half damage) to all damage types. The negative is I take as much damage as they do (so it basically splits the damage between us), but this lets me protect much weaker characters easily.

Really fun character to play (he is also a 15 year old half Desert Giant, half Genasi). Pretty much follows around this cool bard character like a puppy dog (she is a cartographer based bard lol, but tiny...so she sits on his shoulder often).

It's perfect for him to cast warding on her (I just got the spell, so have not had it before), as he is her bodyguard. He already almost died protecting her a couple of times (including being curses a few weeks ago, he had 3 days to remove the curse or die!).

But I've been playing Nioh, and I think my least favorite enemies are the stupid sneaky, mega fast, ninjas!!

I mean, there are a but of 1 shot enemies etc as well, but groups of ninja (ninji?) are about the most annoying by far.

I do need to stop and actually level up my character and equipment sometime though. I think i'm on the 4th area and still wearing low level/initial equipment and my weapons are still low level as well. I am like level 50 and everyone I see leaving coprses is in the 90's or so at this point.

I have not actually hit a point where I need to farm or anything and don't do most of the side missions, so I think i'm seriously underleveled currently.

I took this ability (spell) called sloth, that slows down the enemies/bosses which makes pretty much all of them cake so far. First few until I got that where the biggest challenges honestly.

Really fun game, but it is frustrating if you die twice and lose all your souls!!
