Do you honestly believe based on how Brittney and Anita look, they'd get Men looking at them rather than the Strippers?

A Florida Strip Club has DENIED 2 Women from entry to their joint because they weren't with MEN and said their presence would DISTRACT the men inside from the girls dancing on stage who would GAZE at THEM and NOT the dancers and that they'd cause "drama" by looking for HUSBANDS inside and hurt business!!

Brittney Smith and Anita Yanes said they were turned away by Rachel's Orlando, a "world class gentleman's club and steakhouse" near an Orlando Airport and now they are SUING the establishment

The Strip Club says they denied them cause they didn't have men accompany them and that they looked like they were looking for HUSBANDS and might cause drama

Brittney said that she's went there before when she was with a man and had no issue and she noticed that one of the dancers looked exactly like one of her firends, that being Yanes so she invited her to go along with her to go see for herself.

But when they approached the entrance at 10:15pm, the brute asked for ID's to make sure they were over 21 and then asked if they had a man with them. When they said no, the hostess next to theguard said they can't come in with men.

When they protested, they were told that their presence might take men's attention away from the strippers or that they might cause drama by trying to find husbands. The manager also came out to deny them and said they were preventing PROSTITUTION in their premises. That's when they started recording him..

The 2 women left feeling angry and rejected and embarrassed and are seeking damages

Their original lawsuit was rejected as a judge said they should have filed for the Florida Civil Rights Act lawsuit instead citing gender baesd discriination.

This set off a frenzy of civil rights lawsuits across the state as Steve Mason, a lawyer for Rachel's Orlando hopes that state law supercedes local laws and blame LEFT LEANING communities of attempting to gut state law because of Republican laws that were passed

He said "I understand why certain cities and counties across the state are in a panic that their anti-discrimination codes may be invalidated. I hope that they are, they are unconstitutional"

Their lawyer is also working with another lesbian couple after Heather Cox and wife, Sonia Otalvaro were turned away at Dean's Gold Strip Club cause they didn't have a man with them as the manager said it's company policy to not allow unaccompanied women in because they might be tramps or upset single women looking for husbands

They were also outraged and said it's gender discirmination and have filed a lawsuit.

Do you honestly believe based on how Brittney and Anita look, they'd take attention away from the strippers?

Do they throw you out if you're not throwing money down on drinks or the pole? I imagine it's not like Starbucks where you can buy a pack of gum and hang out for hours. That doesn't pay for college.

What does dressing to look for a husband even look like? That, to me, just sounds like they didn't want to outright say "they were dressed like sluts".

Mmm... I guess it's just that I don't know the economics of owning a strip club. I figured tips are tips and the business makes most it's money off drinks, cover charge and the door where applicable

No, what is meant by "looking for husbands" is not "looking to find someone to marry", but rather "looking for the men they are currently married to in the strip club".

Pretty sure the establishment meant looking at them as a distraction kind of way, not in a "oh they're so beautiful and hot" kind of way.

This is the real reason, and a justifiable one.
"Distraction" in the sense that the male patrons might feel awkward acting the same way they otherwise would have w/ some women watching them. It's a strip club, not a normal social setting...
And the potential for "drama" if they're going in to find a bf/husband should be self-explanatory why the club would want to avoid that.

I hope these ladies lose the lawsuit or if they win, it means women's-only gyms also become illegal.

Thats not sexist. A lot of clubs have this policy to prevent sausage or ham-wallet fests. Theres a bar in Vancouver that requires one guy to bring two girls.

Yea, I think they feel most girls would get upset and distracted and probably won't work in front of them...but from the 'Strip clubs' I've been too, most of the working girls don't give a damn.

I dunno if they have a case, but really, they just should've gone to another club or something.
