It's funny, it feels like AVGN's fanbase nitpicks his show more than the character nitpicks video games. The show has always been hit or miss, and even recent episodes I have felt have been worth the watch half the time. Same as it goes with the old ones, though more of them are hits for me. James has aged, and the video format has aged.

I agree that times do change, and you do have to adapt to that change. You could say that about The Simpsons too. If you've seen my complaints about avgn, I never complain about his expressvpn advertising or anything, because that's just how it is now. But I personally see a drop in quality overall.

I'll try not to get too much into it, because there was a topic I made about it that lasted a month, but at first my diet pretty much sucked. Way too much sugar, almost no nutrition, high sodium because I ate a lot of processed food. That I changed it to more vegetables, more fruits, more chicken, yogurt, things with protein in it.

As far as working out goes, I didn't see a whole lot of improvement. I saw some improvements but very small. And that was from three months of working out. But what was really freaking me out was I was gaining weight, but it felt like I was getting fat rather than muscle. I kept looking at pictures of myself and I didn't look more fit, I just looked more fat. So I hate to admit it but I recently got discouraged from working out and I haven't done it in about a week and a half. Still eating well though

I'm happy with my body because I'm at my ideal weight, 140 lbs. But at the same time I'm not happy because my genetics put my body fat and bad places, like my belly area. So despite being 140 lb, I still have a belly. And I have a really hard time gaining muscle, I don't know what it is, but it seems like even when I work really hard I just can't seem to put on very much muscle. So in other words, with clothes on I think I look good, but with clothes off I do not have a presentable body, despite being really thin.

I do think screenwave media has been a positive influence on James. Wasn't he overworked prior to them being involved? And I'm sure their help with writing and stuff probably has been a huge mental relief on James. And there have been a couple decent episodes, like the mortal kombat game boy games.

I just got done watching the Pac-Man 2 review. Holy fuck it's short. He covered a lot of the very basic points about the game, but he missed so many details. Not that it matters, but he could have talked about how you can piss pacman off if you keep hitting him with a slingshot, or how you can play the original pacman in the arcade, or all the cool interactive stuff you can do. I understand that AVGN is meant to be more entertainment rather than an actual review, but a newbie would barely learn anything about the game by watching that video.

Every call center I ever worked at required business casual at the very least, which means a button-up shirt, and pretty much any kind of pants except for jeans or sweats. Some call centers may require a tie, but not all of them do. The reason it's required is because a client who is high in the ranks might visit, and it's seen as disrespectful to dress poorly in front of a client who is much higher ranks than the rest of us.

What episode do you guys think the AVGN started to get bad? In other words what episode did you watch that made you realize "oh, this is getting bad"?

I would say probably the episode where the director made a guest appearance, and he was making appropriate jokes. It wasn't funny, it was cringe-worthy.

It's a pretty easy job. There are some hard days, especially if an emergency happens. But overall it's easy.

I'm working 7 days a week until we find a replacement. Two months is usually how long it takes for the company to find a replacement, but honestly that's being generous. Sometimes it can be up to a year.

I'm actually afraid of the opposite to be honest. This job highly recommends overtime, and I'm afraid if I refuse to do it they might try to find a reason to fire me.

Hate to say it, but this could be true. I don't know about TC's job, but call centers I've worked at do not allow you to use your phone. Especially jobs where personal information like credit card numbers, Social Security numbers and such are given out regularly.

Wearing shorts and a t-shirt and reading during office time... yeah I can see why they let you go. There is no such thing as downtime when you are on the clock. You have to realize there is no shortage of hiring right now so even as a temp you need to stand out in a positive way because if not there are 20 other people in line waiting for your position.

I personally don't agree with this. Lots of jobs have down time. But as soon as a call or customer comes in, you have to drop everything and make them the priority. Don't finish the page you're on in the book or the song you're listening to.

So one of our best guards quit so now I'm working 2 schedules, and I only make $13/hour, so the extra OT is gonna be nice, but with such shit pay it's not going to total to that much. From my limited experience, when a temp agency tells you that you're no longer needed at a particular job, that usually means that job contacted the temp agency and said you're no longer needed. Usually that's a bad thing. It's basically the jobs way of firing you, but since you don't work for the company, they just contact the temp agency you work for instead.

Any secondary job is considered a side hustle. If you get paid but it's not your primary source of income, yup, it's a side hustle.

Not getting paid currently, I'm only at about 700 subscribers. Once I get to 1,000 I can start monetizing my videos. Seems like low numbers, but last month or so I had a big surge and subscribers. A month ago I had only 80 subscribers.
