skew is a good player, that part doesn't bother me. i don't like them as a person because of some rude stuff they said over discord. trashing opponents, elitist attitude, stuff like that. they were on wumbo's discord server for a short time, so that's how i learned about them. it's hard to separate the art from the artist lol.

The link you provided is not a good example. That's offering a phone at a subsidized price in exchange for a certain amount of months for service. Companies have been doing that for years, even with more expensive phones.

If the phone were $289 with no strings attached, then yes, that would be an insane price drop.

Right now yeah, but now that I'm in school and trying to do content creation, I feel like I'm headed in a positive direction. Not everyone needs to go to school, but everyone needs a plan.

seems like gaming is your one platform where you can be on an equal playfield with everyone else. i remember you said you wanted to become a streamer. why not do that? i remember you had a bunch of negative deterrents like "i'm not charismatic enough". as someone with a youtube channel, i think you should make the content and then think about the deterrents later. if you don't know how to go about it, just start streaming a game you like, and tell all the haters to go fly a kite

i dated someone who had cerebral palsy. i don't know the specifics, she could walk but with a limp, and she could only use one hand. she was somewhat dependent on her parents, but she was a teacher and still doing the things she loved.

ok i might be in the minority, but i dont think the current show is as bad as people make it out to be. the show is catered to today's audience, so those who don't like it are probably retro fans of the show who wish it would "go back to the basics". if the show tried to strictly cater to the retro fans, no current fans would find it appealing. if the show doesn't adapt to current culture, it won't last. so i think their tactic of accommodating current viewers while occasionally dazzling retro fans is a nice idea.

i think the new series is a drop in quality, but not as bad as people claim it is, IMO.

i'm cool with it. could it be an attempt to get retro fans to watch? probably, but bringing him back isn't a bad idea

Weird question (minimal Google search here) but what purpose do steam decks have if you're not a streamer? From what I understand, it automates some of the controls you have as a streamer, but what use is that if you're not a streamer? (I assume most people here are not streamers)

I haven't drank soda in years, but when I used to, I never really disliked any of them. Root beer was my favorite, so I'm surprised it's getting a lot of hate in this topic lol.

Dr pepper was always my least favorite, that soda gets a lot of overhype.

Do you start mashing well before you get grabbed/buried to get out? I just learned that apparently if you whiff an attack and start mashing immediately the first 10 frames of mashing done prior to being grabbed/buried are applied.

i usually don't. i don't normally expect grabs or buries to happen until after the fact most of the time, i'm not at that level where i can read my opponents like that lol. didn't know the first 10 frames prior counted though, pretty interesting.

I might be the only person who doesn't use paper plates at all. I always use my own plates and then wash them when I'm done. Dishes suck though, so I don't blame people for buying paper plates lol.

I have a lot of nostalgia with these muffins. Used to eat them a lot in high school. I liked the cheese streusel flavor and chocolate chip (not chocolate-chocolate chip).

Yeah my dermatologist told me , a few months ago.
I went to her for something else and just asked before I left about the shampoo I was using which contained conditioner.
She said conditioner makes hair more fine in time and can result in early balding.
For what it's worth she's a top doctor and pretty expensive so.. I trust what she said , although I havent done reasearch about it myself tbh.

i'm not a dermatologist. with that said, i'm 99% sure your doctor is incorrect about conditioner accelerating hair loss. i feel weird saying that, because she's a doctor, but I still question her statement.

is there a controlled study that proves this information true? there might be a low-budget study with 4 patients and no control group, but i doubt there's a more creditable study with 100+ people and a placebo group. not saying you have to find that study, i'm just asking a rhetorical question.

there tends to be a lot of misinformation about hair loss out there, passed on by many people. a barber i used to go to told me that wearing hats cause hair loss, and my old dermatologist told me hair loss occurs on the mom's side (both of which are not true). just wanted to question your doctor's statement about conditioner accelerating hair loss, not saying she's completely uncreditable.

Unfortunately there are barely any consequences for mods. One mod hijacked a guy's account and the only punishment he faced for it was being demodded. He still gets to use the account, and people get modded for bothering him about it.

Are you talking about bover? Because he was demodded and lost the account he stole. He was allowed to keep the account that belongs to him, but not the stolen account.

I don't even know what players or tournaments he's referring to as I don't follow that closely, but maybe that means I'm wrong about him being okay without the tech.

One person I can think of is Onin. He came out of nowhere and won a major with Steve, even beating leo. Supposedly a lot of his practice came from playing against people on elite (could be wrong on this though). His experience prior to winning that tournament is extremely limited, never obtaining a win even close to that.

i'm currently enrolled in school.

took calculus last semester. did really well, aced it. crazy considering i nearly failed pre-calc lol. Edit: I took pre-calc when I went to school 10 years ago, and failed it. i also wasn't putting in 100% back then though.

taking calc 2 this semester. got a 98% on the first exam, but it's still the beginning of the semester. so far i'm doing well, but i don't want to count my chickens before they hatch.

IMO, saving your hair doesn't mean you're insecure. I have good hair, why not save it? Same thing as brushing your teeth in order to keep them from rotting

I know Nintendo doesn't Do patches anymore, but wouldn't this be the exception? If there is a game-breaking glitch? I haven't looked at what the glitch is yet though, but if it's something as bad as wobbling, I say Nintendo should patch it.
