@pojr Do you start mashing well before you get grabbed/buried to get out? I just learned that apparently if you whiff an attack and start mashing immediately the first 10 frames of mashing done prior to being grabbed/buried are applied. --- (... I have the face buttons all set to different inputs anyway (I have one of them as shield so I can hold shield and special while being multi-jabbed to free my left hand for SDI) and I've seen it said that sliding your thumb back and forth across the face buttons allows for more inputs to be registered (unless you're a computer, then control stick is better). I use control stick when off stage though i.e. when Yoshi swallows you to avoid an input that would lead to my death. Also, I'm around if anyone wants to play --- (... So I went to Encore for their weekly and I did pretty well, almost won the Redemption bracket, got 2nd out of 18. The guy I lost to in the finals beat me in the main bracket as well, a very good Pyra/Mythra.
