That's a different conversation altogether. I'm talking about the people who are crying about the existence of AI art in and of itself.

Also, art being referenced isn't theft, fleshartists do it all the time for their work. They use AI in programs like photoshop in their art already.

Flesh artists are just salty they don't have a stranglehold on the entire medium anymore and can't gatekeep without any sort of pushback. They're stuck in the second stage of grief it seems like.

It's funny because i'm sure a great deal of them were celebrating self driving tech putting truck drivers out of a job.

I love how luddies keep crying about how "AI is gonna put us out of work" instead of just embracing advancements in technology and adapting it to work for them.

Instead of being the wheat and rising above, they elect to become the chaff. Just like all those lazy, self indulgent artists who cry about AI art. Maybe if you didn't take weeks or months to complete a commission and didn't charge out of the ass AI art wouldn't be as desirable.

It's probably not something they can control, especially since they're such a small company.

All it takes is contracting a shipping partner in the US (hell, amazon will do it), to host and ship the merch for them.

As of last summer they had over 300 employees, so it's not unreasonable for them to rent a small warehouse space somewhere in the US for a couple grand a month, and ship locally if they knock that $150 shipping down to $10, not only will they sell a ton more merch the people already buying the merch will buy more. Instead of them leaving a whole bunch of money on the table, or it going to fedex/ups, it's going straight into cover's pockets.

It's unbeliable how much money hololive leaves on the table by not having reasonable shipping on their merch. It's almost as if they want people to buy bootleg merch.

This. Even Ewen McGregor said that "acting" with all the green screen and most of the sets not actually existing was a tough experience. Combined with some poor dialog, and it made Hayden look bad. It is hard to act when you are not even interacting with an environment.
