My ideal daily Porsche would be a 911 turbo s w/ the weissach package. If I wanted a RWD porsche i'd want something like a Cayman GT4. The lower power and lighter weight/smaller size is more of a "miata on steroids" kind of fun car thing.

the base 911 hits 0-60 in 3.8 seconds, that was supercar territory just 3 years ago. Its suspension is less hard, it has a (tiny) backseat, better mileage and a little bit more of ground clearance, and it costs less than a half.

a step above is the 911 S, which is a bit faster and better performing still as usable.

anything above S gets progressively harder (suspension), lower, loses the backseat and has decreasing mileage

also power to the 4 wheels is something to be considered

So from what I understand the GT3/RS is great as a track toy, but from what I understand, as a daily driver, the "normal" turbo s is a much much better street car because it can actually hook on non prepped surfaces.

I was sad when it was retired, but fully understandable due to costs/maintenance compared to others.

recently I learned the original F-14-A has 2 sets of variable wings. They had a small pair of canards that would come out at high speeds. They were removed in later versions though

The guy explained it pretty well.
To sum it up better, they over produce cars in fear that a customer will want to buy it NOW and not wait a month or so. So the cars sit in an area untouched and essentially rot for 1-2 years before getting around to being sold as fresh off the line. By the time the car is sold, it starts to fall apart or needs entire components replaced, because letting a car sit untouched for a long period is bad. The result is Mclaren actually loses money and customers get a bad experience.

It's not everywhere and they may have sorted themselves out, but I do know this is how it was in around 2019-2020.

Not even that, but I follow a youtuber who's had a few brand new mclarens he's specced from the factory. His McLaren Senna which is going on 4 years old now, has spent at least a year and a half of that time in the shop being repaired. His 675LT had severe issues with the paint and had to have a few body panels redone because of their shitty paint starting to bubble. Also the front suspension and lift system had to be completely replaced twice outside of various engine issues/going into limp mode/the hard top having issues getting stuck.
I believe his MP4-12C was fairly reliable though.

On this other hand, the same youtuber's Ford GT (not mustang) only had an issue with it's aftermarket exhaust, and his various AMG Black (C63, SLS, GT) only have had issues related to the aftermarket modifications he's done to them, otherwise completely reliable.

The guy bought a Zenvo about a year ago, he was able to drive it for a week on a trip before it had to go back to the factory for repairs for around 6 months.

The reliableity of some of these super/hypercars is insane. I'm waiting to see how unreliable the AMG-One will be over the next few years with it's "formula 1 derived engine). Just looking at the proposed maintenance schedule for them makes me feel they're going to be worse than rotaries to maintain.

I'm talking about their entry level cars (an extremely highly specced Roma) or "less desirable cars" (a used GTC-4 Lusso from a certified ferrari dealership), also you need to be ordering all your cars through the same salesman/point of contact to build a relationship so they are motivated to grant you an allocation.

Because some people believe that even if you agree with 99% of their positions, and vote the same way they do, but think there's a bit of nuance in how one thing could be viewed, you are the enemy and deserve to be deleted from society.

I like the Ferrari cars themselves but can't stand their brand culture. Basically to buy the more exclusive cars you need to buy a bunch of their undesirable lower end cars with a ton of options over and over, as well as attend Ferrari events and "fly the colors" so to speak to qualify. It's complete bullshit.

Careful about when talking about amouranth, even though I was proven correct in something I said regarding a drama she was in and completely vindicated, I still caught a 90 day purg for it.

SSD'S are so cheap nowadays that there's zero reason to get platter HDD's outside of a dedicated 4 or 6 bay NAS you use for like system backups for long term storage of bullshit you never access.

EDIT: Also, I still use one of my original SSD's from 2013 (samsung 840 pro) as one of my storage/gaming drives. It has almost 450tb of writes to it and still works great. Speeds are basically the same as when I got it.
