Dragon Quest 11 was amazing. The only reason I'm not finishing it now is because I'm playing my actual favourite series of modern JRPG's right now.Trails of Cold Steel 3 (and I think I have to get 4 now with the way 3 is progressing)

Been meaning to get into Trails.

Is Trails in the Sky (PSP) worth it, or should I skip to Cold Steel?

Really should've included Octopath here as well. When it came out I thought it's popularity was due to the Switch drought, but it seems people legit loved it.

Ah, gotcha. Was just curious because there's some notable absences in the list, like Octopath and particularly Nier: Automata.

Weirdest thing... I loved the original Nier to death yet found Automata to be totally underwhelming. The gameplay felt broken and the story didn't have the emotional impact of the original, at least IMO.

Batman S2 is actually really nice, shows something of an actual evolution of the Telltale formula instead of the same regurgitated system over and over again. S1 definitely is recommended despite being much weaker and more mindless due to things shifting over.

TWD S3 is... divisive. Personally I really don't like it as it's just the same damn themes tread over and over again and there's a character that a MASSIVE majority of players are going to agree with nearly every action they take, so it lacks the hook that other TWD games have and lacks the spark and passion of the earlier entries in the series.

Guardians already has a far better version called Tales From The Borderlands. Really tonally inconsistent, kinda overly dark for the franchise until like Episode 3. Not a fan.

I was wondering if there might be some overlap there. Borderlands was great, so I might just pass on Guardians if it's a watered-down retread.

With Telltale's games getting pulled from Steam, I'm thinking about grabbing what I can while it's still there.

Batman, Enemy Within, and Guardians are all $15 a pop on PSN. They worth the money and time?

Also, how's Walking Dead Season 3? I loved S1 and S2 but found the Michonne game underwhelming.
