Really though I think this is a case of voice direction being awkward but the actors are genuinely good.

There's charm to the concept still, but they decided to start storytelling via retconning a hell of a lot here, and even the interesting Roxas segment is stranded narratively.

points do go to having a few really cool setpieces. It's not really the "story" but I like the cinematic feel to the battles and reaction commands.

GTA feels particularly male oriented imo. Not everything has to represent both sexes equally.

You used neutral B when it was not a ledge trap

You can't backtrack in FFX until near endgame so don't worry about stuff until then.

I think the way the scenes are shot and choreographed are still among the best. Great use of its small cast too, with a great finale.

Actually good, maybe even my favorite of the series

I can concede this but not many jrps make use of their better presentation and directing skills and overall come off worse. Automata is a decent example but the story is a little too out there.

A long way goes to the crime story stuff, it's a really unique vibe for 2001 gaming. The GTA humor and style is here, but the cutscenes are all bad. There's really not much of a plot besides a silent MC's revenge quest either.
