I don't really love the arcade offerings this week ;_;

It was nice to have 6v6 and 4v4 over the past couple of weeks though.

I don't necessarily like the LFG tool. There wasn't an immediate/obvious way to quickly set it up for the arcade mode that requires it. And I've run into glitches where I get merge requests and can't sign up for a role in my party, etc. Why doesn't 3v3 comp bring me to the LFG tool specific for that mode? Overwatch feels like it has pretty good design on many things, this isn't immediately one of those :(

Glad the Celtics grabbed Williams at friggin 27. Everyone had him as a lottery pick. He was "best available" for like a dozen picks. but maybe there's something I don't know about his health. Then again, once the Clippers were done, everyone wanted a guard until the Celtics.

A corrik topic thats actually somewhat correct, and one of the issues that pushed me toward the right. Basically whats happening is a large scale NIMBY. By being offended instead of trying to fix a problem, americans have always chosen to push the problem away to somewhere they cant see it instead of trying to fix the problem. Once these companies are further out of public eye, they're free to do whatever they want.

You'd have to think that big companies wouldn't seek to increase margins by moving out anyway. I see where you are coming from but I don't think companies would stay here forever if it's cheaper to move elsewhere.

Mafia is too stressful to worry about the results, you have to worry about how you played the game.

This is the truth. The town vanillas trying to sort out who amongst them is scum have the hardest job because there is almost always one townie that has roughly the same case built against them. And you've spent weeks digging and looking and researching and posting and etc. And at the end, the more you dig, the less you find. You kind of have to go with your gut and be fine with it.

We've made some strides in pushing back against the postgame I KNEW YOU WERE SCUM mentality because that used to just be an even worse toxic nightmare than what you see now. Players would spend the game talking crap and the postgame talking crap and it felt like Mafia was a topic series about a game, and not the actual game.

And town doesn't organize their efforts well at all. You shouldn't need FD to dig for days to maintain a list of claims and stuff. If town made it easier to dig up claims on a daily/topicly basis and made their gut reactions/tells known, you'd have less situations where a player is stuck making a tough decision, and more situations where that player can look quickly at the collective wisdom of confirmed (dead) town. And sure, scum could play into that.

How come you say things like you have no stuff. That's the common thing you hear in TV and movies and stuff. "She took everything in the divorce". " I live in a shoebox apartment with no furniture " "all I've got left are my bones"

But like... don't you keep roughly half of the stuff? Especially if the split was somewhat amicable?

If you have a no-fault divorce, you do a 50/50 asset/liability split. So you lose half your stuff - you don't get to keep half of the couch, half of the TV, half of the bed, half of the dining room table, etc. So you might keep the bed and TV but not have a couch and table. It can take a while to replace that stuff, and you don't have as much to spend/save. And you have to replenish your savings, etc. You might have to sell your house because that is the only way to split such an asset and remove the liability. You might have to give it up in exchange for other assets. And what you can afford afterwards is going to be smaller because of what you can afford. And you possibly got a job in a location under the premise of having two people making money or raising kids or whatever. It's a big blow if you've done anything dependent or jointly, even if it was amicable.
