Boss literally had a 300 dollar nail gun stolen WHILE we where on the job site. We where just on the other side of the house. Another crew got robbed of all their tools once too. Usually it was other crews it seemed. Ones that generally used cheap shitty tools and would steal the higher end ones. Construction is sadly full of criminals. Unleas you do suit only runs hitman ia more a hide in plain sight kinda stealth. I said in a previous topic on this subject that, so long as the house isn't walled up, I'll still walk around and check out the interior layout and the carpentry work. Legally it's probably trespassing, but no one has ever seen me and called the cops. I'm also not black though, so I'm not under immediate suspicion just for existing. When i worked construction people going in and out of vacant houses being built annoyed me. Not that i thought they where stealing as I felt if you dont want something stolen you dont leave it at the job site but I was actually worried theyd get hurt. House is under construction and trust me mistakes get made that have to be fixed after an inspector says it's not good enough. Plus job sites are full of things in general one could hurt themselves on like stepping on a nail. Nails are everywhere. On the ground sticking out of wood both on the ground and through walls. Plus one woman was always wondering into them whike day drinking. Once in awhile id bus a table if the waitresses where busy. Pretty fucking easy job.
