Instead of two man cells its open dorms almost like a military base where its a open room with lines of bunk beds. Vast majority of guards at this one arent here looking to beat up inmates either we just mostly want no fighting or killing going on. Or as one officer puts it the four Fs. As long as they aint fighting fucking fussing or trying to flee its not a big deal. We do have a couple of officers that try to be Robocop though. Most officers are like me in that if its a minor rule break as long as they dont blatantly do it to where we see it we aint going looking for it. If we see it though we say something. Now I hear there is a prison im this state where the guards will tear up a inmate over next to nothing and apparently that unit only hires super big/strong guys. I think its probably more laid back at my unit cause as an officer you get locked into a dorm with 120 of them and at best 3 officers. And most of officers try not to sweat petty ass rules like the inmates dress code but this particular supervisor will watch the cameras and call you out over the radio about it. Id get it a little more if it was some gang related shit about their clothes but it isn't considering 99% of it ia the same shit regardless of if its a young black guy or a dusty ass old white dude and everything in between. --- Cid- "looks like that overgrown lobster just got served!" I have a boss like that. Fortunately only gotta deal with him when I work overtime as my job is a 24/7 operation so there is 4 shifts and rotations. I'm on night shift second rotation and hes on the other. Dude micromanages the fuck out of you and tries to catch you screwing up. He almost seems like he wants to write up us officers more than inmates from all ive heard avout hin --- Cid- "looks like that overgrown lobster just got served!"
