It's... not as apparent if you're playing an RPG. You're entranced in a story. This thing just takes it to a whole other level. It's basically just numbers going up.

Don't. It's a mess of a game, just like Dissidia.
After you finish a song you have to look at like 5 different menus telling you how good you did, what you won, how you won it, what you unlocked, who unlocked it, who leveled up, who didn't, what the weather is like, how to make scrambled eggs, and how babby is formed You are then taken back to the main menu, and can continue this vicious cycle of a game. |

Because, unless I'm wrong, and I shouldn't be because that's what it says in the title, you're locking away all your saturday mornings for the rest of your life.
That includes being well into your 80s and unable to walk and still having to go(I guess?), or giving away cuddling with your gf all morning, or whatever else. The greatness of life is in its abstractiveness, you make what you want of it, and I can think of a million things that can be done in that time period. Since I only have one life, that's worth more than any money. Not to mention it makes me wonder what kind of person I would be at the end of that life. Probably someone with very clouded judgement. |

It's more likely we die due to a stray asteroid than anything else. Not a whole lot people know this but we just barely dodge one last month. And NASA only caught eye of it 4 days before. It was 10 times the size of Tunguska, which is this thing that annihilated an entire rainforest and left a crater that formed a river over 40 years. Had it hit it would've wiped out an entire country.
Visiting exoplanets is still far off. Even at great speeds it would still take years. And the ship would have to be enormous, too big of a project for a bunch of puny humans, imo. Knowing us, puny patetic humans, we'd just argue about it before it being too late to react to whatever kills us off. And light speed space travel is just an unrealistic concept, period. |
