What about my situation? I just finally got a credit card first time ever. 0% apr for 18 months. My uncle said since I have no interest I should alternate between paying like half off one month and then most of it the following month until my interest actually starts talking effect.

Is that a good idea? He said it should help with my credit utilization value or something like that?

depression is a legit thing, but how people handle and deal with it is definitely a matter of willpower/mental fortitude. i feel the people who usually treat depression as some kind of an absolute just don't want to let go of their scapegoat and are unwilling to take responsibility of themselves

I do agree with this. I am actively fighting against my depression every day. I make a point to hang with friends, even when I'm having a day where I'd rather just hibernate and not talk to anyone. I try to eat healthier. I try to spend more time outside getting sunshine and fresh air.

Do you know what it is to feel like you are worthless? That no one loves you? Even though the small small voice is saying this is all wrong? But that small small voice of reason gets drowned out. You can only hear the voice saying you're a failure. That life will never get better. That you'll always feel this way.

That same voice saying if life is always going to be awful, that you're a disappointment to your friends and family. Saying that since all of this is true you owe the world to remove yourself.

Have you tried to act normal around your friends and his family that you've never met because you are helping him move to another apartment? And you haven't talked about what youre going through because that voice said they won't understand, or worse will just say to get over it. You and your friend take a break out on his new 3rd floor apartment's deck and instead of being happy to be helping your good friend your mind is saying "just jump". Then it will all be over. No more not sleeping at night because you are stressed. No more getting up every morning and throwing up from the stress and anxiety that is consuming you.

So yeah. It was clearly just all how I was looking at it. Should have just toughed it out.

I'd honestly take the ability. I'm such a wuss when it comes to temps lol. I like from about 50 to 75 F. Obviously I deal with outside those temps a lot, but that is my ideal range. If I could increase that range on both sides it would be useful here.

Gets to low 100s here in the summer sometimes and way below zero in the winters

I appreciate the input guys. My mom thinks I need to try talk therapy again. Didn't help much last time. We just talked about old shit from the past that honestly I felt like I'd resolved. Just felt like picking at scabs to me.

I do have major depressive. But I feel like I'm doing fairly okay mentally with my meds. I see my doctor next week for a check-up.

I have this curiosity about what actions and motivations or something, down to even very minor things, but I learned early that asking "what's your reasoning for always liking to stack your sandwich meat in that particular way?" is interpreted as "you're doing that wrong." Which isn't what I mean at all but ... I don't ask such questions anymore, except to my husband who knows me and just rolls his eyes. lol.

Specific to my situation is I have a co-worker that will tell me not to do something. It's not wrong, just not "the way" to do it. Even though it's a same result just different process thing. My boss is cool with it, some of the stuff I do he does the same way.

It's okay to say they'd like me to do something their way. But when you just tell me "No" like I'm 5 years old it is frustrating. If there is a disagreement then explain. I don't think that is asking too much. I try to explain why I'm doing it my way instead, and they shut down on me and don't want to talk about it.

I do this too. Been working on it the past few years. At my old job people could see that I was getting better at it and appreciated it. So I've actually made some progress. But with this new job I have to set a new benchmark. I guess that's what makes it hard. They don't know how much I suck at being normal. And that I'm actually really trying. I'm a weird dude. I've been dealing with this since middle school. I'm 29. I swear I've tried. But no matter what I just rub a good majority of people the wrong way.

It seems like people just don't "get me." My closest friends have said that to me as well. I have some really good friends that I've known for years. Probably be lifelong friends. My family likes me, both immediate and extended.

I think people just need to try to get to know me. But most write me off within 5 minutes of meeting me. I don't do that to people. I give them several chances before I decide if I like them or not.

Advice? Life would be so much easier if I could just figure it out. But I don't know how.
