Now they have finally found their live action adaptation hero in Chinese actress Liu Yifei, also known as Crystal Liu!! The 31 y/o beat out 1000 other actresses across five continents as Liu is a popular movie star in her native China but is fluent in both Chinese and English She previously starred in The Chinese Widow and The Forbidden Kingdom The movie is about a young girl who disguises herself as her father in order to enlist in the army Disney wanted to find a chinese girl who could speak english AND have martial arts and sword fighting skills and Liu fit all of those qualities.
