My town's bowling alley is now permanently closed due to this situation

I have so many fucking memories of that place since it was practically the only thing to do in this town from childhood through high school. It barely changed at all since I was a kid too which I loved, felt nostalgic as fuck every time I walked into the place.

I was just telling my wife (oh by the way our first date was at that bowling alley over a decade ago) yesterday how so many things from my past are gone now like my childhood home and a huge chunk of downtown has been bulldozed for new shit to be built there which I'm sure will look great but it's not what I grew up with.

I thought the bowling alley was safe.

Fuck, is this what getting old is like? Cause it fucking sucks

When I was a kid I lived in a town that doesn't exist anymore. It does suck.
