I didn't really care for the original Xbox controller, but the following ones are great. But I think my favorite controller at the moment is the Swtich Pro Controller. Just dim the light to its lowest brightness, the controller still lasts a good amount of time. The light doesn't bother me at all, neither does the charge time(although I am very close to an outlet and my ps4, so charging is not an issue). Xbox controllers are decent, but the pad is always bad, imo. to rank the popular controllers: ps4>ps3>switch pro controller>joycon>=xbox one>>>xbox 360>>>og xbox placement of the joycon controller greatly depends on the game. For me, the staggered sticks are the best way to play FPS games if you are going to play them on console (though, I still think mouse and keyboard on Mac/Windows are still the most precise in my experience).
